Yeah if reinstalling the helper doesn't do anything I'd start thinking that Apple is doing something with that (probably unintentionally) in the latest update. I'd do the above and save debug file and (if you haven't already) send that off to apphousekitchen.

Thanks for keeping us updated!
They responded to my email and asked for the debug file so I sent it over along with some screenshots. Will update when they respond or when a fix/update is implemented.

They responded with the following:

"thank you very much for the debug file!

It seems like the issue you are having is because you migrated from an Intel MacBook to the new M2 machine.
We are very sorry for that and will fix this issue as fast as possible.

You can make it work again by clicking the "Reset Settings" button in AlDente's general settings. Afterward, restart AlDente and it should be working as intended.

Sorry for the inconvenience and kind regards"

I can confirm that everything is working normally again once I reset the settings :)

In a van down by the river
Weird, not sure what to make of my issue then.

Aldente will install but will not hold a charge at whatever % I set it to. I also can't seem to turn on any charge settings besides "Hardware Battery Percentage". Everything else is disabled by default and grayed out.

Aldente pro on the other hand will install but won't open and keeps asking me to install the helper. After installing it just asks again. No amount of resets or reinstalls seem to help.
I just tested AlDente Pro on my new M2 (another BTO) and it isn't working. It is weird that it was working on my first M2. I did Migration on that M2 but, didn't on this one. Don't know what the prob is.

Edited to add: After 5 more tries of install / uninstall it has finally started working like it should.

Hate to bump a dead thread but has anyone experienced issues with uninstalling AlDente?

I uninstalled it fully, following the guide in the official FAQ, but now my M1 MBA keeps charging even when it reaches 100%. It should stop charging and change the icon to 'plugged in' but it stays like this forever:

Ideas?

Soon this app will be obsolete. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a native 80% charging limit so it is probably coming to the iPad and Mac in the future.
