Exactly. If he would just look at the post that I quoted, he would see that I am experiencing the opposite of what he is.

It doesn't matter if you have rest finger to open enabled or not if you wake the device with home button you're going to end up on the home screen. Apple's logic is not to use home button to wake the device. It's either raise to wake or power button.

Im not sure that this "rest finger to open" even works on my iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 10.03).

When my screen is off, i rest my finger (i do not push) and nothing happens. Then i press the button and the lockscreen opens. When i rest my finger again, nothing happens.

What am i doing wrong here? I have tried with both password on and off, nothing seems to be working. Note that the fingerprint sensor works fine
