I just called the apple store.. they will not be available for at least 7-10 days..

my e-mail from Apple says

Your order should ship on or before 07.11.2006.

We estimate that it will be delivered to your shipping address on or before 14.11.2006.

mine is the 17" in UK... i want a shipping date like you!!*

Know exactly how you feel

Ordered mine within an hour of the upgrade.

17" MBP shipping from China to Dublin estimated shipping date 7th Nov. Estimated delivery date Nov 21st

Cant understand how it takes 2 weeks for them to ship it from China.

I called 6 Apple Stores in the BAY AREA yesterday.. 1/2 of them said they expect to have the 17 inch on MONDAY.. They all said that they have the 15 inch in stock NOW... but the 15 inch is only $250 dollars less than the 17 inch...

: )

Looks like the lack of C2D chips is showing why Apple delayed thr product update, but these shipping times enforce that!

Tell you what though, when you see a lorry outside your door and a bloke carrying a brown box, you know you have a reason to be happy and to call in sick at work ;)

hi sorry to hijack your post however i am thinking of buying a macbook in the uk. I want to use it for general use and playing a few games like call of duty 2 and games like that. Also I would like to do video editing aswell.

they are only $250 less but the size is a little too big if you lug it around very much.... I settled on the 15" but bought a 30" HD Apple monitor for home.
