I Thought Final Cut Studio Works Fine On MacBooks. No?
What do you mean "unsupported"? You mean officially by Apple but not in real use?
No. The entire Final Cut Studio Suite runs great on a MacBook.Garden Knowm said:Is it true that FCP does not run on the MB?
MacBook screen is same width and only 54 pixels shorter than the 15" Aluminum PowerBook G4 screen was until a year ago when it was raised to 1440 x 900.AppliedVisual said:FCP (and other pro audio/video applications) are not supported on the MB. Same with Aperture. However, I do believe these programs all run just fine on a MB if you can live with the limited screen space and lesser audio capabilities. In terms of CPU power, the MB is currently just as good as the MBP.
I personally haven't tried running any of the pro apps on an MB as I don't own one.
Very cool.JackSYi said:Aperture 1.5 is now supported on every Mac currently being sold by Apple (that includes the Mac Mini). http://www.apple.com/aperture/
In what way? We had a London college student Film TV Major who bought a MacBook day of release report here all of Final Cut Studio works great on his new MacBook including limited use of Motion 2.AppliedVisual said:That's cool. Didn't realize they changed it... Not that it mattered since it worked fine anyway, but now it's officially supported. The Final Cut Studio applications are still unsupported though (not supported on any system with Intel GMA950 graphics).
