How do you figure? Watches use watchOS not iOS.
Thats like saying a new mac is shipping, ofcourse TvOS will be updated also. The 2 arent directly connected.

WatchOS and iOS are very much connected, you can’t pair a WatchOS 7 device with iOS 13.
I believe we will see iOS 14 and WatchOS 7 released by the end of the month.
That's a bad analogy. WatchOS is tied into iOS, so updating WatchOS would required iOS to be updated in order to pair the watches to your iPhone. With that being said, it is possible (although highly unlikely given Apple's history of releasing WatchOS updates alongside the iOS updates) to add support for the new WatchOS to iOS 14 via an update patch.
iOS 14/Watch OS GM to be released on The 15th. Official launch on Sept 25th. Apple Watch Series 6 Pre-orders on the 18th, official launch on Oct 2nd.
Haha well yes, but no.
You can have an Apple Watch without even owning an iOS device.
You can but, it would eventually stop working as intended, because it has to be paired with an iPhone to function properly. it can’t be set up without an iPhone.
All of this makes sense except for the official launch date. Apple sets the event timing based on when hardware is ready to ship. If the event is this week, then I think the latest that at least some batch of hardware launches is 9/25. Maybe the ARM MacBook Pro, iPhones or iPads will come at a later date, but something will ship by 9/25.

I hope we get iOS 14 this week. That'd be a nice surprise.
Yeah would be nice. But history would say we would most likely get iOS on the 23rd two days before a new hardware product launch. But given its 2020 really it’s anyone’s guess. I wouldn’t be surprised if literal leprechauns came into existence and some how destroy tomorrow’s event. 😂

GM release in the past came out shortly (within an hour or two) after the event ends.
I think iOS GM drops today. I think the iPhones will be announced today. 2 hour presentation today without announcing iPhones is a little bit suspect.
Unless it's to announce other updates to other devices that Apple sells.
