How do you figure? Watches use watchOS not iOS.If new watches are still coming in September then iOS 14 will have to ship too.
Thats like saying a new mac is shipping, ofcourse TvOS will be updated also. The 2 arent directly connected.

Haha well yes, but no.WatchOS and iOS are very much connected, you can’t pair a WatchOS 7 device with iOS 13.
You can but, it would eventually stop working as intended, because it has to be paired with an iPhone to function properly. it can’t be set up without an iPhone.Haha well yes, but no.
You can have an Apple Watch without even owning an iOS device.
iOS 14/Watch OS GM to be released on The 15th. Official launch on Sept 25th. Apple Watch Series 6 Pre-orders on the 18th, official launch on Oct 2nd.
All of this makes sense except for the official launch date. Apple sets the event timing based on when hardware is ready to ship. If the event is this week, then I think the latest that at least some batch of hardware launches is 9/25. Maybe the ARM MacBook Pro, iPhones or iPads will come at a later date, but something will ship by 9/25.
Looking back at it now, I making a few edits.
iOS/iPadOS/TVOS/WatchOS - GM on Sept 15, Official Launch on Sept 18
Apple Watch Series 6 - Pre-Orders on Sept 18, Launch on Sept 25
**iPad** - Pre-Orders on Sept 18, Launch on Sept 25
**Rumored products that may be announced Sept 15.
iPhone - Pre-order on Sept 25, Launch Oct 2nd
ARM Macbook - October/November launch.
Yeah would be nice. But history would say we would most likely get iOS on the 23rd two days before a new hardware product launch. But given its 2020 really it’s anyone’s guess. I wouldn’t be surprised if literal leprechauns came into existence and some how destroy tomorrow’s event. 😂I hope we get iOS 14 this week. That'd be a nice surprise.
Thanks for the info - I have been checking for the GM release....I couldn't remember if it was the day before the event or on the event day!iOS 14/Watch OS GM to be released on The 15th. Official launch on Sept 25th. Apple Watch Series 6 Pre-orders on the 18th, official launch on Oct 2nd.
GM release in the past came out shortly (within an hour or two) after the event ends. Thanks for the info - I have been checking for the GM release....I couldn't remember if it was the day before the event or on the event day!

Unless it's to announce other updates to other devices that Apple sells.I think iOS GM drops today. I think the iPhones will be announced today. 2 hour presentation today without announcing iPhones is a little bit suspect.
GM will drop today. My post you quoted was talking about official launch of iOS. Context matters. 👍I think iOS GM drops today. I think the iPhones will be announced today. 2 hour presentation today without announcing iPhones is a little bit suspect.
And what is that rumor based on?Apple will announce iPhone today rumor about presentation is hardly correct.
