Can I ask how you go about disabling the turbo boost?

Sure, what I am referring to is specifically within windows. If you go into the Control Panel -> Power Options -> Advanced Power Options under processor you'll see options for the on battery and off battery maximum power states. Anything under 100% disables turbo boost. So for mine I have the minimums for on battery set to 1% to 50% and on charger as 1% to 99% which disables turbo boost in windows 10. Hope this helps

Also if your Mac is running hot don't hesitate to take it to Apple and have them re-apply the thermal paste. They did that for me and it makes a huge difference

Here, where else?
Guess I'm not out of the woods yet, just got a KP for sleep/wake failure uuuuugggggghhhh

Did it KP when you put it to sleep or wake it? Does it crash often on that? Planning to have mine on more and use sleep a lot more rather than shutting down and booting up multiple times a day

I normally let it sleep and this is the first time it's happened

SOCAL
I've been having some graphics glitches with my mid 2015 rMBP for the past couple of months, but not anything that hindered my work. Now, in the past few weeks my machine seems to be getting hotter and more sluggish. Today, I received my first kernal panic

panic(cpu 4 caller 0xffffff7f980265ba): "AGC HDA REGISTER RESTORE FAILED

Sigh, time to take it to Apple.

What version are you running and what task were you performing?

Well, since this is a glitch in OS X, there's not really anything you can do to fix it... Re-installing the OS, logic board replacement or even switching it completely doesn't seem help.. The only thing we can do is to nag on Apple and hope for the best:(

So glad I didnt get the dGPU on my 15". All these horror stories turned me off.

Well, I haven't had a crash ever since, and I can without doubt say this is the best MacBook I've ever owned. Although I do get reminded of the kernel panic every time I unpause a YouTube video..

That reminds me, @sentential did you ever get a response from the engineers?
