Their boss sold his share in the company and no longer works for them. You didn't even try to take that into account, so how does that affect the facts?

Who is to say the S6 deserved the same accolade?

100% false he still hangs around anand and he even said he still does small things around the place

AnandTech founder and EiC Anand Shimpi announced last night via a post on the site that he had decided to retire from technology journalism, but didn’t specify what he’d be doing instead. Today, Re/code reports that Shimpi will be going to Apple, as confirmed by the tech firm’s representative, though his exact role is still unknown.

Earlier this year AnandTech’s Brian Klug also left the site for a role at Apple with a focus on building mobile processors for the company’s iOS lineup. It’s possible and perhaps likely that Shimpi will be taking up a similar role in quality assurance or marketing.

Shimpi says he will continue to ADVISE the AnandTech team on editorial matters when needed, though he will be leaving the operations of the site up to incoming editor-in-chief Ryan Smith.

Not one but two of the main people there work for apple.

So that is your "evidence" of bias? I was away from anandtech for several years, but now thanks to this thread I've become interested in that site again.

Yeah...the two main guys leave the AnandTech team to work for Apple on processors......admitting they will continue to advise Andantech on editorial matters. Then the site writes an article that pretty much validates the work Shimpi and Brian Klug left to do at Apple. Oh Yeah no bias there at all /s

When you can't argue against the material, argue against the people who made it.

I really don't get it, I love to defend android when it deserves it but the a9 is definitely the winner right now. If I could choose to have the a9 in an android device I definitely would. Even over exynos and definitely no brainer over snapdragon

If they are so biased where is the data showing a9 is not on top of the benchmarks? All I see is jibber jabber

True...but the data doesn't lie. It is easily the best mobile processor on the market right now; just like the note 5, outside of personal preferences, objectively has the best screen.

Just about every member of the credible tech press agrees the iPhone 6S is a blistering performer.

I loved my Galaxy S6 and miss the screen and camera, but the speed, and responsiveness go the iPhone 6S...easily.

And that's a real good question. If the A9 was an off the shelf part we all know it would wreck qualcomm and Samsung silicon business.

What's the point of having powerful A9 if iOS 9 lags like molasses.

My Nexus 6P destroys any iPhone 6S plus in fluidity even though it's running on inferior SD810 processor

Hmmm....the nexus 6p is fast...but lag in ios9 on the a9 containing 6s(+)?

Seems sinks me to the comments people make about android lagging....not true. Maybe your experience varied. But mine, as well as the vast majority of reviews and users, don't share your opinion.

Some don't have an issue in fluidity and rather focus on how long it takes to get an end-to-end task done. Such as editing a movie or rendering a web page or composing music or whatever the task is.

In that case the difference is negligible,a matter of few seconds at best which anyone will compromise for a more overall fluid experience

That's been from the second post. Of course their biased and tied to Apple, to like the iPhone couldn't be anything but.
Totally .A reviewer with the former/current owner having ties to Apple has to be unbiased

Since we've established the subjectivity of this, your statement assumes that the potential consumer subjectively finds that target object more fluid.

LoL !!! How many times a day do you render a movie? or compose music? on a phone????

Most users focus on fluidity and smoothness in everyday tasks such as launching apps, making calls etc. All of which is much faster on Nexus 6P.

Again I am saying there's no point in having a powerful A9 chip if the underlying iOS 9 lags like molasses. Heck even the iPad Pro stutters, which is saying a lot considering it has the most powerful mobile GPU.

Apple just sucks in software department. iTunes match, Apple Music and iCloud Photo Library are all living examples.

Lol, how many times a day do you bring the control center up and down? When I'm editing a movie I can spend much more time in imovie getting the thing perfect than swiping back and forth and bring the control center up and down in Siri.

How do you know what users focus on? Have you asked all 50 to 60 million idevice users? If you think the Nexus is better than get it; your choice. I bought the phone that met my requirements and the powerful mobile power comes in handy for imovie and music composing etc. Places I spend my time, not the control center and not swiping back and forth between screens.

Who said that i bring control center up and down? iOS 9 lags everywhere!!

Similarly have you asked all 50-60 million idevice users that they don't have lag? I assume the answer is no.

Judging by this forum you are one of very very few users who don't notice lag, which i don't blame you, it could be biological variance in your ability to see, which is normal.

.

Actually quite a few of the folks who record in our studio have come in with sampler/basic recording done on GarageBand on their iphones. We're not talking finished productions but a basic templates of what they want as a guideline in the studio. It makes a very inexpensive multitrack recorder (if they already own an iPhone) compared to many traditional standalone alternatives.

However yes it's not something most of us do and is niche, but it can and is being used by some.

ios 9 does not lag everywhere. I admit it lags in siri when you bring up the control panel, which should be a bug; but this is not universal for every idevice in every configuration.

edit: you also could be seeing things which aren't there and that is normal also. Because I haven't asked 50 or 60 million IOS users, if there was a generic issue than it would be reported on the internet and we would all know about it. Not 5 or 10 posters across a few threads on MR.

There is really no need for all of the bolded text, nor to repeat the contents of the thread in the IOS 9 forum.
