Good news then my M2 Mini Pro should have no issues.Yes, it was displaying the display's full resolution of 6144x3456.

Thank you for confirming. I'm trying to find out why my launch day order has been delayed. I ordered by chat on Wednesday before it could be ordered through the website, and both people I've talked at Dell have told me it's delayed by one week due to a part shortage. That doesn't make sense because it still lists Wednesday delivery on the product page.Yes, in the US, placed my order on Thursday 5/11.
Yes, it was displaying the display's full resolution of 6144x3456.
I talked to someone else today and explained that other people who placed an order after me have already received it, but I still got the same response. "We reviewed your order, and it's yet to go into the production due to part shortage. The production on your order should start as soon as the part is available, and we are making every effort to procure the parts."![]()
What GPU does your 2019 16" Macbook Pro have? Which macOS version? I would try Catalina since newer versions might not enable DSC by default.I just received mine with the intent of using it with a 2019 16" Macbook Pro. Unfortunately, that combo doesn't seem the most stable. At the default (scaled) resolution (3200x1800) in macOS, it's only able to drive it at 30Hz (over Thunderbolt 3/4). I've tried various dongles with HDMI 2.0b or Displayport 1.4 to no avail. I'm unable to get it to run at 60Hz. I have to drop to either 2560x1440 (Scaled) or 4k (unscaled) to achieve 60Hz. This is unfortunate for me since my Intel MacBook Pro (and I need the intel part for a VM) is my work computer and the computer I'd most want to use with this display.
That said, the display has no trouble with a 2021 M1 Macbook Pro and is able to drive it in all scaled modes at 60Hz. It's also similarly fine and able to be driven at full resolution and speed with a Razer gaming laptop.

or something like that.macOS does not report output resolution or output pixel depth / color mode. It reports framebuffer resolution and framebuffer depth. Use SwitchResX or AllRez to get timing info. In SwitchResX, double click the current resolution to show timing info which includes pixel clock and active pixels.Something tells me the Apple side of this is buggy. Even on the M1Max, where it works, this is what it reports.
Yeah, I meant the reported resolutions for any display don't seem correct in System Information.macOS does not report output resolution or output pixel depth / color mode. Mine too!Delivery has slipped to May 22 for my launch day order.

Directly with monitor. I noticed it stops once I restart computer and monitor. Then it comes back temporarily. Maybe something funky with only my unit.Flicker is a bit worrying, is the monitor connected directly to the MacBook or are you using a dock?
Not too worried about bezels personally, anything is a massive upgrade over a 27" iMac and Thunderbolt Display in that department 😛
Not interesting at all, since it only shows the info for the currently selected mode. There's at least 16 modes in the menu. More when you click Show All Resolutions.Interesting that it reports the correct model number, but the resolution (native and HiDPI) are what one would get with the Dell UP3218K 32" 8K display.
Is that directly via Thunderbolt or HDMI?Directly with monitor. I noticed it stops once I restart computer and monitor. Then it comes back temporarily. Maybe something funky with only my unit.

Dell Ultrasharp 32 6K Monitor (U3224KB) review: All the pixels and a fantastic 4K UHD webcam make this one AMAZING display
Dell sets the bar, again, with its innovative U3224KB display with 6K resolution and some nifty tricks.www.windowscentral.com
I can understand you very well. I currently have 2x 5k Dells (UP2715K) and 1x Apple Studio Display and I love the glossy display on all 3 monitors, there is nothing better! What's the delivery date? Looking forward to hearing whether MacOS supports 6144x3456, and how "heavy" the matte finish is.
I'm curious--how does the glossy coating on the UP2715K compare to that on the ASD? I have a 27" iMac, whose glossy coating should be similar to the ASD's, and I think it's great. But I've not seen the glossy finish on the Dell. Some complain it doesn't reject reflections as well.I can understand you very well. Of course I'm also thinking about buying the Dell 6K monitor, but I don't know if I'll like the matte display surface. I hope that someone here on the forum will buy the Dell 6K and compare them.
We should hear soon about the 6k Dell—at least one person on this thread bought one with an expected delivery date of Mon May 15 (yesterday)!
Thanks for the update! Both of us were bumped to May 22.
Yeah, I'm wondering if there's some special-casing in Apple's driver somewhere. It's not what I'd expect to see. It does work at the right resolutions with the M1 Max at 60Hz though, just not with the 2019 16" Intel unless you're okay with 30Hz.Interesting that it reports the correct model number, but the resolution (native and HiDPI) are what one would get with the Dell UP3218K 32" 8K display.
Tell me, how many times are you going to ask that? Every 2 days?Anyone on here that can confirm it works okay, with no issues, when used with an M2 Mini Pro using Thunderbolt 4?
Still nervous at spending that much money on the monitor……
