Yikes! Just tried that out. Very annoying indeed having it wanting to swipe the music card instead of trying to scrub through the song 9/10 times.
Yeah. Though one solution is just to make the button and touch target bigger- the volume bar doesn't have the same issue. So maybe not undoing major design decisions, but they need a solution for this problem they've created for themselves.

Come November it will be "the best design for an os ever"... you will see that the vary same person that are complaining now are going to be the one that support the changes!

They just need to make the scrubber in the CC player identical to the new one in the actual Music app. It's amazingly easy to hit 10/10 inside the app now and probably the nicest it's ever felt.

Nope, iOS 10 won't be great until people are disappointed with iOS 11 beta 1.

I like the design changes. They add more depth to the UI. A break from all that flatness. Some changes are questionable though, and no doubt lots of tweaks will be made over the next few months.

I quite like the iOS 10 design. I love notifications and widgets especially. I just wish notifications were a little smaller.

installed iOS 10 and downgraded back to 9 within the hour.... just can't stand the new notification design with rounded cards.

I'll wait until the final version to see how it ends up.

To each their own.

For those who says we'll all like it this fall : Design choices are opinions, and our opinion is as legitimate than yours.

Personally, the design choice for notification is really horrible. It feel really bulky, like someone said, it feel like it is a bad jailbreak tweak. Also, it seems harder to read your notification with the transparency. Also, the music app become another all in white app. I begin to be real tired of this boring design choice where many app looks the same with just the blindly white everywhere.

I will try the public beta this july to give it a chance, but if I dont change my mind, it will be the first time since my 3GS I will not update to iOS 10 on release and stay with iOS 9 as long as I can.

I do... but that's not my issue... it's not the color of the boxes around the widgets... it's the fact that the widgets appear to be fixed size, regardless of the content... for example, here's my weather app (BeWeather) on iOS 10 and iOS 9.x:

This was discussed in the Platform Tools presentation later in the day. Dev's now have to provide two sets of widget sizes, a flexible size and a fixed size (I forget the specific terms that were used). The fixed size you see there will also be used for 3d touch on the application icon. In the Today view devs can still provide widgets of different sizes, they will need to update.

Thank you for that information. While I didn't have the specific details, I suspected that it was something that would require an update by the app developer.

Oh it's only a beta guys. Things could change and for battery life, Apple will most likely try to have equal or better battery life compared to iOS 9. And for apps and widgets on iOS 10, developers haven't got the chance to update their apps to take advantage of the new widgets.

Everyone here hates this version of iOS until the next version comes out and then that's the worst thing ever known to man. Rinse and repeat.

iOS 9 was the best iOS version ever and the smoothest. This version sucks and being beta 1 is no excuse for being so laggy :p

No, its not. You're wrong.

I love the new notifications.

I like how everything isn't being forced edge to edge (gestures) as even with the Apple leather case, I would miss the edge sometimes. Also, if Apple goes with edge to edge glass, like in new phones), maybe they would use this as a false edge?

But safari is snappier!!

Everything is so white, i thought that they will introduce a black theme too. Aka dark mode but they didnt... It was very anti-climactic

Is Forstall back?!? Seems like things from iOS past is making a comeback and not for the better but for the weird IMO! Doesn't it look like a Frankenstein of iOS 6 and 9 so far? That's my first impression.
