The point of Control Center was to quickly access controls. All of it had that in common.
And when there are too many different ones then it can get somewhat convoluted, so separating them a bit doesn't seem all that strange, with some of it just being about one more swipe away, which is rather simple.

The bold fonts need to go, it's okay for Apple Music, although it needs to have its size reduced and place more in the corner.

I want the old music "now playing" back, it had everything in one layout. Ease of access.

The notification cards need to be reduced in size, and they'll be just fine.

Bring back the old control center and Notification Center

Goodness I remember when people complained about control center being too cluttered, now it's not cluttered enough. It reminds me of iOS 7 when people complained about the font being too thin, then it gets changed in one of the betas and other people complain that it's too thick.

I'll wait until I've actually used the software for a while before giving an opinion. Most of the opinions here are from people who aren't using the beta and are just looking at screen shots or used the beta for like 5 seconds and determined they hate it.

Terrible terrible design overall TBQH! Fix it jesus!
I find these posts so amusing. This is the design language for iOS 10. There's nothing to fix. The most we might get are minor changes between now and release. If you don't like it you can voice your opinion with your wallet.

I'll be doing just that. If I don't see anything professional looking by the time iOS 10 comes out, I might just ditch the iPhone.

Apple needs to hire some smarter people or something. The crap that has been coming out of them lately is just poor quality and doesn't have the fine tuning and polish they used to pride themselves on.

I not sure how you define "professional" (and I'm guessing not everyone would agree) but at least you're putting your money where your mouth is vs. just complaining on a message board.

And in September when a dark mode comes out and everything is cleaned up and makes sense, you and many other will be eating your words. OLED phones are coming for sure in 2017 from Apple so a dark mode also makes perfect sense..........aaaaand I'll just leave this here.

I wonder what's Apple's rationale for changing the Control Center's design. The iOS 9 version worked perfectly fine.

Why change it such that you have to swipe to the left (an additional step) to access the music controls? Isn't that less intuitive than the iOS 9's Control Center, where I can control the music directly after swiping up?
Control Center will probably remember what page you were one. So that the music controls would always be popped up if thats the last thing you looked at.

There is no dark mode, there can't ever be a dark mode. Because you can't just darken an app, that requires a whole new redesign. Think of the third party appswhat exactly do you expect to turn "dark" anyway?
Actually if you look at the colors of the stock iOS apps, nearly all of them would look just fine on a dark grey or black background. Maps, iTunes store, Safari, reminders, camera, photos, ibooks, news, the new clock app, watch app and the keyboard all have parts of the app that have a dark mode.........

I can confirm that it does indeed remember what you last use in Control Center.

I agree. And we are not even getting any extra controls with the expanded music menu. Just cover art which I don't really care about, at least not at the expense of speed.

Exactly. If I'm controlling music using Control Center it's because I want to quickly access the music and don't give a crap about seeing cover art.

I'm speaking from experience. The iPhone used to be such a joy to use. It was fast, fluid and pretty much glitch-free in the past. I've been using the iPhone since version 1.0 and while Apple has never been truly perfect, I've found that I had less issues and glitchiness from their pre-iOS 7 days. Since iOS 7, the software keeps getting worse and worse with each version.

I was pretty happy with iOS 7 and then they took features away that I really liked. Then I was fairly happy by the time 8.3 rolled around, but it still had little glitches, but mostly solid. Then 8.4 came out and ruined the music player that I loved, plus introduced stutter that didn't exist prior to 8.4 (a sign of things to come in 9.0)

Then 9.0 came out and made 8.4 seem amazing in comparison... Now there was lag and stutter everywhere, but games ran great. Then 9.3 came out and the games that ran flawlessly in 9.2.1 now stuttered, but the OS as a whole was more fluid, but still not on 8.3 levels. Then 9.3.2 came out and introduced a bug where auto-brightness will cause lag.

It seems like every time they release new software, they break something that worked perfectly before, and then they never fix it.

We went from edge to edge design to a an ugly, extremely rounded card view.

Huge bolded fonts that just makes me wanna gag, what happened the to the title bar?

A lot of the elements take up a lot of space as well, the menu bar for iMessages? Terrible!
Looks a lot better to me i find the changes make the design smoother and more appealing

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I'm not experiencing what you are. The software on my phones has never not been fast and fluid and I've had very few bugs. Sorry to see you haven't had the same experience.

Went back to iOS 9.3. So much cleaner and aesthetically more soothing. Ios10 is a mess that in no way improves my user experience.

I don't believe in using Android devices. Sorry! I will voice my opinion of a substandard design language.

I wouldn't call Android's design language substandard, far from it. In fact, it seems iOS is heading the opposite way these days and Android is heading the other. Material design in Android is a huge leap in terms of UI design language and you'll find that the majority love it.

Android took my roommate 20 minutes to find where the set alarm screen was buried in all those windows. Apple wants the same behavior for Apple Music on iOS.

You can easily search for "alarm" and it will find it instantly, put the alarm app as a shortcut on your home screen or even tell Google Now to set an alarm for you just like Siri or to open the app itself ...

The only thing I dont like is the extremely big and bold fonts they use in some parts

Some of the big bold fonts are "semi" bugged. They are smaller if you set your system font in the middle than if you set them to the smallest. (Smallest shows them at the same size as set to largest)

So I would imagine that once that is fixed and setting fonts to smallest will help make them a tad bit smaller than middle setting we have now.

Let's talk about the Notification Center on the iPad. Such a huge waste of space that I thought Apple already very proudly fixed before?

Oh okay I definitely didnt know that. That is great to hear as I always keep my font at the smallest setting.
