Thanks for the help, but still not working for me.

I should also state that I'm using it with my corporate server and not a 365 subscription.

Here's my console log when trying to connect. Can you guys check your logs and see if you're getting the same thing?

I just upgraded one of my Macs to the Yosemite public beta and can confirm Lync 2011 stopped working, even after performing the clean install. My console shows the same warning as you have, and I am attempting to connect to Lync Online (365).

Thanks for the help, but still not working for me.

I should also state that I'm using it with my corporate server and not a 365 subscription.

Same here. Tried all kinds of clean installs, removed stuff upfront, and the only thing happening is it opening and shutting down immediately.

14.0.9 not working for me on the public beta either when trying to connect to a 365 account. Still have 10.9.4 on my MBA so no real issues, although would be nice to get it fixed before the GM.

14.0.9 is now working with the latest developer release. (I also have the crash issue when using preferences) I haven't put it through all its paces yet and will do so next week, but at least it loads and continues to run.

I'm also using it against a 2013 on-prem environment.

I've been doing some research on Cisco AnyConnect VPN and have found conflicting reports on whether it's working with Yosemite or not. Has there been a consensus as to whether it's functional?

Just from my experience on the public beta, but I've had no problems what so ever with AnyConnect, but Lync preferences crashes the app, though it still logs me in and runs just fine.

Confirmed working the same for me on AnyConnect 3.1.05160 & 3.1.05170.

Hi guys - I couldn't get my Lync to work on OS X 10.10. Did a clean install and it would log me in and then log me out. I even tried installing the DP2, DP3 and DP4 on top of the Public Beta. The installs go on fine and the version numbers also match but Lync would't work. I am now back on public beta version.

I am successfully using Adium (version 1.5.4) along with the SIPE plugin (1.18.2) as a replacement for Lync. Install Adium then install SIPE and then restart Adium. Add your Lync information under Preferences/Accounts/Office Communicator.

Well, suppose I spoke too soon. Looks like on more then one occasion my Lync client would look OK, but people are unable to send messages to me. I'd then have to force quite Lync to get it to work again.

So Close...

I discovered with DP4 that if I create a new profile, Lync will work on the new profile, but I cannot, under any circumstances, get it to work properly using my existing user account. I have tried deleting all files that seem to be related to Lync, as well as all keychain entries. Still no love...

DP5 Preferences issue and Lync up but dead

Confirming Lync issues with Preferences- once you try opening them, Lync crashes.
As well the issue of Lync logged and up, but not receiving any incoming actions, no messages or file sharing... Not always, sometimes a message makes it through :)

Not quite

For me, when I login it briefly shows my contacts, but then logs me out, and then tries again. It will never keep me logged in. In a new user profile, I didn't test it much, but I was able to open prefs and modify them. i was also able to chat with coworkers. I didn't try audio or screen sharing, but I will.

Can anyone who has already installed Yosemite and having Lync issues confirm if this works as a fix (found it at http://blog.matteocorti.ch/?p=631 ):

After an upgrade to Yosemite (public beta) Lync stopped working: the application starts but is then unable to log in (from time to time with an error and from time to time with a crash).

The solution is quite simple:

Open Keychain Access
Look for an invalid “Unknown” certificate
Delete it
