Guess I am lucky and have never bought AC+ for any Apple devices except the first year on the Apple Watch. I have never damaged a device so financially I am well ahead of the game and even if I have to pay to replace a device, I am still way ahead.

For those who drop or damage their devices often, I suggest you do get AC+.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

It’s a must for the watch especially the aluminum one. One accidental bang against a wall or something will mess. It up pretty bad.

That is why I bought it on my first AW. But after getting by with the next 2 and now the AW4 with zero issues, I decided to decline. My SBSS watches still look like new. Rather impressed.

I get it for my Apple watches, and my phone, because of the job I do. I just bought it today for my iPad Pro, just for piece of mind.

I better break one of them lol

I get it and pretty much always use it for something on my phone and iPads. I haven't gotten it for either of my watches and haven’t needed it. The watch isn’t as expensive or indispensable. I also don’t plan to get it for my (exciting Black Friday!) HomePod.

Not this year since they doubled up the cost but ended up returning the iPad 11 and the folio keyboard so it worked out.

I did for peace of mind, the cost of Apple care on iPads is considerably lower than a similarly priced iPhone. Even if I don’t use it over the two years I think the cost is worth it for peace of mind alone.

I never used to buy AC+ until I dropped by Apple Watch S0 and later my iPad Pro 10.5.

Now I have it for my AW S4, XS Max and iPad Pro 11.

It’s essential for the watch as it’s on my wrist 24/7 and I regularly bang it against the wall or desk or kitchen top.

For the phone and iPad, I feel less paranoid about dropping them now and have even moved to using them naked/with a skin only.

Also remember if you sell you devices early you can get a prorata refund of the portion of AC+ that you haven’t used.

I never bought it until I purchased IPP 3rd gen. Am usually very careful with my gadgets but got it as for the price, it gives me peace of mind. Is my main productivity device and would be totally lost without it.

I have never purchased Apple Care for any of our many Apple devices and was still coming out ahead in terms of costs even after a couple of replaced iPhone screens.....until, I bobbled my 9.7” iPad Pro over our tile kitchen floor. I caught it, but the corner just barely contacted the tile and sent cracks across the screen. Turns out it’s like $700 bucks to replace the screen on an IPP...at least it was back then. So, I bit the bullet and bought Apple Care+ for my new 12.9” IPP.

Somehow, of all my devices (iMac, Watch, two laptops, two phones, an iPad mini and iPad Pro), I only had/have AC on the 12.9. My reasoning for it may not be logical, but of all them I feel the iPad Pro is the most susceptible to accidental damage. I ‘m always more careful using my portable electronics, and the desktop unit usually isn’t in peril from anything more than extended use.

Got it for my 11"/256/LTE pad, I normally don't get AC/AC+ unless it's included like with the IUP. My charge card gives me an extra year of extended warranty. But I got it on this iPad because I plan to bring it outside the house a lot (thus the 11" and LTE), and occasionally I might let my son use it, like maybe to watch things on road trips (when there is no other options to make him happy). I also got it with the EPP discount so it's only $110, not a bad deal for a pretty expensive device. Also, if I upgrade before AC+ runs out I can get a prorated refund.

I’m definitely getting it. Several of my previous iPads were cracked somehow, and this one feels more fragile than most.

The new 12.9 (dunno about the 11) is flimsy AF. Not buying apple care for it is borderline stupid.

I factor the ac in with the purchase every time. I’d love the 1tb Ipp 11 but know that with the accessories and ac ill have to opt for a lesser model. Ac is essential to the newer apple devices as they have made the repairs almost half of what a new one costs.

I got it on my new 256gb cellular 12.9,with it being as low as $5.99 month it’s a no brainer,I also have it on my xs max

I juist caved. With the €700 price tag for repairs it feel better to have it covered. I’ve been very careful with it but apart from a 13” laptop sleeve I don’t have protection right now, awaiting the Smart Keyboard folio (about 3 weeks wait) which still doesn’t offer the most protection. When traveling I will use both the folio and sleeve but the bending thing does worry me a bit as well (though my old iPhone 6 Plus is still straight after 4+ years and two owners). My pencil has also been knocked off the magnet onto the floor a couple of times already. Only thing to keep in mind that if that breaks through accidental damage that counts for one of the two incidents you get.
