You're not alone. While there were a few other things that bothered me a bit during my time using the Nexus 6P, the biggest factor that contributed to me returning to my iPhone was the Apple Watch and how much better it works in conjunction with the iPhone vs. the Huawei Watch I used with the Nexus 6P.
Would you elaborate a bit more in your likes and dislikes of your Nexus 6P? I'm looking to get the HTC Nexus phone later this year. :)

Happy to but probably a good idea to not hijack this thread. Let's head over to the Nexus thread to continue.

One of these is from the HTC 10, the other is from an iPhone. See if you can tell which is which. No, I'm not telling.

First is definitely the HTC. Multiple reasons. It covers more of the picture. (panned out more). Iphones have an issue with being too close. Also better quality than the iPhone in low light.

I have a lot of movies on iTunes, TV shows too. Didn't realize how much I wanted to watch them on my phone when I'm not at home.
It's why i find myself carrying an iOS device and an android and why it's never too long after using android as my daily driver for a short while, i usually end up reverting back to iOS as my daily and android as my secondary.

For me iOS as primary and android as secondary just works better in my day to day life and for - continuity, handoff, imessage & sms forwarding etc, between iOS and my main Mac computers and iPad pro.

For work and keeping track of my work, iOS allows me to do that better. But I'm also 100% sure that if my computers were PC's and my companion tablet was an android or surface, and I had never had such effortless cross syncing between my work devices, then I would be happy being in an android phone only world. But as it currently stands, I miss those when I am running android primarily.

Ios is my daily driver now for these reasons. Everything Apple with Apple TV now.

Texting on my iPad Pro is handy instead of always dealing with my phone for that.

Pics being on both devices for example and my apple watch while not as good battery life is better for apps and calendar detail

Still loving the edge in what it does but my iPhone does feel more stable and dunno just feels better with certain tasks

I like notifications far better on my iPhone

I do feel that while my iPhone doesn't have as many features as the edge if I had to choose one I would choose my iPhone

Hard to explain it just feels right

It's just that were invested into the other hardware and software eco-system where the 'simple' things we do on our phones which happen often to be the most important (texts and calls etc) work better in that environment. It doesn't mean we can't enjoy or appreciate the great android devices that there are :) There is no right or wrong - its just down to personal usage and experience :) :)

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I went back to iOS
This poem sucks

I know this poem very well as I dabbled in the S7E pond for a little and really enjoyed it. In the end though I really missed how well all my devices played together (apple tv, iPad, macbook, watch, etc) and I just really enjoy iOS and 99% of my friends are on iPhones which makes group messages with videos and pics extremely easy versus the clunky Android experience for that.

If you put iOS inside the amazing Android device hardware, I would be on cloud 9. As of now, I live with a boring design phone in the 6s+ but the best OS for me in what it does day to day for me.

I am hoping Apple can step up their hardware game but not to confident considering their lack of that lately.

got my s7e mostly set up.

love the screen, completely blows LCDs away
looks like i will get 4-6.5 hrs of SOT with mixed use
i get about 0.5-1% drain/hr on standby + wifi
how android handles notifications >>>>> ios. simply blows away ios, not even close.
some apps actually support samsung's fingerprint reader. looks like FIDO is closer
not all ios apps > android (see robinhood)
multiwindow >>>> all being able to play a youtube video and take notes for instance is really cool. or just playing a video and web browsing.

ios is better for battery, far superior on privacy, and if you're anal about certain features like how apps sync (e.g you're on a really small data plan) you're better off on ios. but the variety of apps you can use from a purely "power/sophisticated" user's perspective, android's apps really blow away ios.

e.g. textra vs native messaging apps.
imessage vs pushbullet vs airdroid

people dont forget to set the dpi to 640 on the galaxy s7/e. really makes a big difference wrt using the screen size efficiently.

Makes sense. You gave it a fair shot. Now you know for sure what you prefer. Right on.

You knew all that beforehand, just sayin.

Didn't you have android smartphones before? Better hardware isn't going to win out versus one's overall needs.
