As annoying and easy to activate here as ever with a Magic Mouse in DP4. Sometimes the tiniest movements activates it.
Jumped the gun. Apparently this update came in two installs? One updated to 15A216g which had the annoying cursor, but it seems to have been fixed after a second update to 15A226f(?). It is indeed much harder to activate now.

15A216g = DP3

Any idea why a 40 minute install, including activating iCloud again would install the same version over again?

So there is no option to disable the shake-to-find-cursor feature? Well, that's stupid! How could they have overlooked that!

This feature is more annoying than useful for me. I never loose my cursor, and all this does is cause my cursor to grow and shrink randomly (like a dick) when my mouse glitches a bit.

Is it also annoying in the newer builds? They made shaking a little bit harder to do.

A wee bit is an understatement. It is actually quite hard to trigger it now. What is the point of this feature when you have to shake your mouse like crazy?

Has it gone can't get it to work in PB 4

It triggers quick quickly with quick circular motions though.

Indeed, make circular motions while wiggling and the feature triggers quickly. I think this more mimics the natural motion people make when looking for the cursor anyway so having it triggered when doing that is neat.

I'm sorry but this is clearly a result of Craig Federighi and/or Tim Cook (and probably other board members) getting old and not being able to see as well, they probably demanded this feature so they could more easily "find" the mouse cursors on their 5k iMacs etc...sad when the old guys start showing signs of failure
Could you use a larger font, please?

I had the exact same experience.

I was wondering if I am the only one having this.
Nope. iCloud asks me to verify after every DP update. You can just skip though. Especially because it hangs if you have two-step authentication enabled. Annoying as hell. However, like I said you can just skip it. iCloud will work just fine.

Surely they would first demand that the calendar entries don't look like this...

Does anyone know of a way to disable the "shake to locate cursor" feature in El Capitan? I'm not on the beta yet, but was wondering about this.

EDIT: It appears that it has been found! I'm not on the El Capitan beta, so I can't test it. Here's the code:

Code:
defaults write ~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences CGDisableCursorLocationMagnification -bool YES

This was first posted in this thread by @ps3zocker. Hopefully this works!

Worked fine! Had to log out and back in for it to go through, though.

Glad to hear that! The irony of this whole search for how to disable the feature is that now I have an external monitor, and can actually see myself using the feature! Still hope it helps others!

Well, I finally persuaded myself to turn shake to find cursor back on with two external displays connected to my rMBP. I still don't see it as completely necessary, but it occasionally helps to determine what display the cursor is on.

This worked for me.I had to reboot after I ran the code.

This feature very annoying in games especially some fps and moba games. Is there anyone who knows how to disable it?
you can simply turn it off by going to the System preferences > Accessibility > Display and un-ticking the box
