So, Apple will stick with embargo for Tuesday? kind of weired since many of us we will test ourselves these machiene
But, never mind, tomorrow is not so far

It could also be that UK folks like me will have their units before the reviews, if they come out at like 9AM in the US.

"Yeah, that's right iJustine and MKHBD. I'm the new reviewer in town, so kindly step aside."

"So I've been using my MacBook Pro for the last few seconds or so now..."
iJustine is still around? I dont think I've seen or heard about her since like 2013-14, and no im not exagerating.

Do keep us posted!
I'm gone on a business trip. My wife will be receiving the Air. Not sure how receptive she would be for running some performance tests. :)

But the good news is that if I got mine early, many others did as well. Especially since I wasn't ever supposed to be part of the first shipment.

There ya go -- iJoseph :p
I'm going to be so rich.

I'll need to practice my gesticulation and excited cut shots when unboxing products that look the same as the previous 10 generations, as well as quirky one liners to convey my enthusiasm. :D

Will also fire up Logic now and start developing some Lo-Fi backing music too.

Very much so. She gets sent pretty much every single piece of electronics equipment. Xbox Series X, Playstation 5, all the iPhones recently to name a few.

Official MacBook Air ad on a weird Apple channel?

EDIT: Not related to Apple

The usual reviewers purchasing both a Macbook Air, Pro and Mini.
If you have review units then you’re not going to purchase 3 different models for your own use.
I believe you would still purchase personal units if you want to do long-term testing and reviews. The review units that are handed out by Apple in advance have to be returned at the end of the review period; they're just temporary loaners.

They don't get to keep review models, they always buy their own.

Yes, but why buy 3 different models for personal use? Makes no sense.
You’d just buy the one you actually need, wouldn’t you?

A lot of those guys are collectors, plus they might have only been sent one M1 Mac as a review unit and want to review them all then return them? You're probably right though.

what is so wrong with releasing a review before launch date ? why does apple insist on an embargo ?

The longer the embargo, the more a manufacturer doesn't want the reviews to lay bare what they pitched as being 999,999,999,000% faster than anything that ever existed before.

We should unsubscribe every tech YouTuber! Give us the god damn reviews you rich kids!!

Hmmm.... I think we need to be prepared for a very mixed bag (which is what I was sort of expecting anyway - I'm just realistic about the challenge Apple set itself). To put it another way, the usual suspects all had their grubby mitts on iPhone 12s very soon after the launch event...

My M1 MacMini had better walk on water, and turn lead into gold 😂 I think in the end (for me) it will be an evolutionary computer, not a revolutionary one. There is nothing wrong with that, as I’m sure the M1 will exceed my expectations vs. my formerly used 12” Macbook.

I just hope some of the reviewers can give AS a fair review without simply going after “click-bait”.

In the meantime I’ve got to spend less time on You-Tube!

Apple needs to stop putting gaming footage at horrible framerates in their promotional content.

It is odd, in many historical cases, new device reviews were often published shortly after the new product was announced as being available to purchase.. all the reviewer has to do is sign a non disclosure agreement until the announcement has been made... I guess the days of Walt Mossberg etc are over....
