I don't necessarily have buyer's remors - my iPad is serving me well; it's a fun and useful device. However, after getting an iPhone 4, the iPad's screen is seriously bugging me. I can hardly look at it after I've looked at the Retina Display; it just seems so incredibly pixelated. I thought the iPad's resolution was too low from the beginning, but the Retina Display really, really drives that point home.

I sold my ipad but have no remorse, I got most of the money back for it, and had about 4 months of fun. but in the end i started to use it less and less, and decided to cash in on it while i could.

My problem with it was the video format support and the way it was very much a closed system.

I might buy it again if things improve a lot in v2 (better display, camera etc and vlc improves ) or i might try out android devices if they improve.

No remorse at all here. What I use less is my laptop. Sure I use the laptop for hard computing, which is about 10% of the time I'm on the computer. The rest of the time, it's on the iPad. I love it.:)

No remorse here at all :)
Have been using it for 4 months and I absolutely love it, I recently got a stand and case too :D waiting for iOS 4.2

No remorse... Except when I go from my newer iPhone 4 with a retina display to the iPad... That kinda sucks...

I still use my iPad over the iPhone for stuff like forum browsing... That says something, I think.

I have the 64GB WiFi + 3G iPad, and I primarily use it to watch movies and use the internet and check email. I don't read / buy books and never bought a book in my life as my interests lie with I.T. I use it primarily because the screen is so large compared to the iPhone 4. The iPhone 4's retina display is obviously better, but the iPad screen is larger and when I use the iPhone 4 the screen looks way too small. The drawbacks I have discovered so far with the iPad is the lack of the Facebook chat function via the Facebook.com site, no flash (hopefully adobe will fix this soon), etc. I will sell mine on Ebay before the new model announcement, as this way I dont lose as much on the iPad.

I'll have heavy remorse as soon as the better version is released. You know, the one they should have released form the start...

with retina
lighter weight
camera

Still great. They're different devices, for different uses at different times in different places.
At home, I use my iPad, although some games are better played on the iPhone. Going out, it's my iPhone in my pocket.
To repeat what others have said; the ipad's better suited for the web and video:

I love my iPad, it's like putting your TV away because the iPhone has a camera!

I finally bought an iPad after months of resistance and I absolutely love it (I have a long commute and travel a lot). There are only two things that bother me about it and both relate to the screen: 1) The glossy screen. I find it unusable outside, and 2) it is an unbelievable fingerprint magnet. Is there no screen available to Apple for reasonable cost that can solve these issues?

Got my 64GB 3G on Saturday, along with my iPhone4 and MBP, I am set to face the world!

No buyer's remorse here, it is a very nice device, and does everything I wanted it for... and more!!

Nearly two months on, and still use my iPad daily, use my iPhone constantly as it is easier to walk to the shops at lunch with my iPhone in my pocket.

Still use my iPad as much as when I bought it, if not more.

Remorse in buying the iPad.. NO!!! Love my iPad. But, buying the 64gb Wi-Fi only kinda made think after a few months that it should have been the 64gb 3G & Wi-Fi since it is capable of calls and texts.

That is not correct. The 3G is for data access only.

I wouldn't say remorse for buying the iPad...more just frustrated with things it can't do that I want it to be able to do. I saw this car commercial on tv last night and thought the car was awesome so I picked my iPad up off the table and of course the "build your car" feature was in flash so I got pissed because I had to pick up my laptop to pick up where I left off.

Yes I was well aware that the iPad did not have flash on it when I bought it...that doesn't stop me from getting pissed off every time I go to a site that needs flash.

So yes after a few months in I don't regret my purchase and I use my iPad a lot but if a tablet is released that has a better web browsing experience, Netflix, Kindle, and HDMI output...I will sell my iPad and get that.

This was my first Apple product and I just didn't realize how closed off everything is. i.e. I can buy an HDMI cable for $3 that outputs video to my tv perfectly from my laptop. Or I can buy component cables from Apple for $50 to output video from my iPad. I really wish Apple would just use universal connectors.

Retina Display = Higher cost which = more complaints
Lighter weight = less battery life = even more complaints
Camera = Really?

You are making way too many assumptions, that I believe are wrong. Just moving away from a metal case (iphone 1 design that got dropped pretty quick) will lighten the load. Retina more expensive? Says who. The iphone did not go up in price did it? Camera, yes really. The ipad is the perfect video chat device.

Missing features aside, its too heavy. Yes maybe its the battery and thats a challenge to apple to solve.

Retina Display = Higher cost which = more complaints
The iPhone and iPod Touch with the retina display do not cost more than the previous version.

Lighter weight = less battery life = even more complaints
The iPhone/iPod touch do not suffer from worse battery life after getting the RD and do in fact weigh less.

Camera = Really?
You might not want it but many people do.

I disagree because I tried it already. Both with iPad and iPhone using 3G. Have you tried it or you're just assuming that it won't work on 3G? I used 2 apps, 1 for calls and 1 for texts when I tried it on 3G. Both are totally free. Let us know if you're mistaken (which I know you are).

While you have remorse about not having 3G, I don't and use it everyday.

Are you talking about an app like Skype? Then, yes, of course it can make a VOIP call via your 3G data connection to the Internet. That is hardly the same thing as normal mobile phone calling and texting, which I wanted to clarify the iPad cannot do.

I love my iPad and it is the best gadget I have ever owned. I have it since mid June and I still use it for many hours per day. I am sure that when the second generation comes, that I will immediately buy it.

frankly, i'm a bit suprised that I like it.

I was sure it would be just a pretty much useless, but really cool toy, but I use it all the time.

I guess they knew what they were doing, And I imagine they (Apple guys) also wondered this for a while, until maybe, the final consensus was that it really did fill a niche.

They are selling like the hot cakes :)
