Not really sure what poll option to pick. I've been using it on a desktop and a laptop for a while now without issues. I've not experienced any real bugs or issues worth reporting. I'm not especially in love with how it looks, but not to the extent of regretting upgrading. I am...indifferent to Tahoe, I guess. 🤷‍♂️

It’s a good system, I believe. This could just be me, but I feel it’s overblown the flak it gets. I’ve tried it at Apple Stores, and I kinda like it. There’s a thin line so hard not to cross when dealing with UI and changes…

seems like this release gets more flack than iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 as time moves along.
Dunno what it is, but now that the dust has settled and it's a few months past x.0 people on X are getting tired of iOS 26, but less forgiving for Mac since that's an 'essential productivity device' for them or something. IDK.

I just got an M4 iPad Pro that came with iOS 18 and think I might stick with it for a while. 26.2 is much better than 26.0 was on my iPad mini 7 that made me truly regret it for a while, but I dont have a burning desire to upgrade it either.

I don't really want to downgrade my M2 15 inch Air out of laziness, but it's nice that I could if I wanted to.

Anyways, go ahead and state your opinion.

I think the most grating thing is the brightness flicker bug I am experiencing intermittently. Usually a reboot will fix it for a while but then it comes back with a vengeance. Performance and battery life overall seem ok.

...I don't like Launchpad being gone but I will deal. Overall I'm probably in undecided as I dont hate it, but it's mostly nothing really improved either lol

Anecdotally, Gruber is famously sticking with Sequoia, and he's a total Mac fanboy.
I love it!!!!!!! If you do not like it then please move to Windows, thanks...

Change is hard for many. That’s all.
Yes...but this is not a solid reason or answer for the "why" the "don't like" crowd or mob are disgruntled about macOS Tahoe.

"Change" is assumed to make things better. At least that was the concept that I grew up in with tech (generally speaking).

I guess I am in the generation where an OS, hardware etc. changes due to do the concept of making more so improvements as technology (supposably) advances or grows. Now..I think times have changed where "change" comes (generally) for the sake of change rather than for the reason overall to make things better.

I think macOS Tahoe is a little of both, but more so "change" for the sake of "change". I think this may be the "thorn in the side" (or for some: the dagger in the back) for many who dislike it. Some improvements...YES, bugs and things not working...that is common with a new implementation of an OS (sometimes more so, sometimes less). The less, users are happy...the more..all the hate. Nothing is new.

I am in the camp of the "like some things", "don't like some things". "IF" Apple cleans up what I would consider "sloppiness" of the OS design and execution, including the overlapping text or hazy can't read at times glass effects etc. and get a good quality control or finalizer to actually look at what was designed before release....and not totally rely on A.I. to do the work...yet...

I can live with LG. A fresh paint on a daily used OS can be "refreshing" at times, but also "annoying" until mature. I don't think it will mature enough before the "NEXt" change coming in June (just now five months away...).

You can’t make every one happy all the time ~ Steve Jobs. I actually love iPados 26 on iPad Pro. And my m4 Mac mini is running Tahoe though I always upgrade my MBP to latest os in March. None of my workflows are impacted, I like some new features, and I don’t care about others unless they start impacting my work. At the end of the day for me these are not art pieces, I use these tools professionally. If I was running an art project with OS, I would nitpick.

I just talked with my wife again.."What do you think about macOS Tahoe..." She said:

"Why do I have to look at a jelly fish all the time... LOL. That sums up Liquid Glass.

majority of voters like it ? the hell. this thing is an abomination on every possible level. legibility, speed, efficiency, stability, UX.
From a few of the folks that have said they liked it that have posted, they sounded more like, “Eh, it’s an OS,” more than actively “like”. I know the internet MUST make everything a like/dislike thing, but a lot of things, including a decent amount of Apple things, are just “fine”. As long as that’s roughly where the majority is sitting, then Apple can keep rolling in that direction.

Folks need to take off the rose colored nostalglasses. 🙂 Tell the folks invested in Apple II that change is assumed to make things better. The only thing change was guaranteed to do was change.

Yeah you're right , I've seen that afterwards.

Yep, I'm happy with it. Only thing in macOS I'd change, is the resizing of system settings, but that was implemented a couple of years back, and it's the ugliest least intuitive change I've known.

If I had the ability to upgrade to tahoe, I think I'd enjoy it as I was basically maining windows 7 until last year when I switched to the mac
