When you "turn off" your iPod it goes to sleep with the exception of the latest nano, iOS devices you couldn't turn off any of them unless you just waited for time to put them into deep sleep.
I think all of them are interesting but I have only purchased a Gen 5.
i was hoping they had come out with something in 32gb that i could upgrade to, but instead i see that they dropped the radio, video player, misc apps, camera, and made it a touchscreen...yuck.
Radio is still there, brah.
There's something just awesome about always having an Mp3 player/Radio/file storage on you at all times

Would be nice if apple would take advantage of the touch screen and come out with gestures like swipe left to go to next track while the screen is off.
Picked up another Nano and an iWatchz from Amazon... wow... having it on your wrist and plugged into my Sony Bluetooth adapter makes this thing an amazing little portable powerhouse. I love having my music ready at my wrist whenever I want it... it's much less cumbersome than pulling out an iPod Touch or my EVO.
Looks pretty damn cool too!
I don't own one, but after using a friend's a few times, using it at the store, seeing another friend with one being used as a watch, and my want/need of a good iPod with no distractions from my music, I am definitely wanting this. Plus the whole watch thing is amazing! I think I'll wait and see what the seventh generation is like though, because I'm hoping for a (slightly) larger screen and wifi sync. If that doesn't happen though I think I'll just buy a refurbished one.
A speaker (even a terrible one) would also be amazing too.![]()
I really like that, but the price is pretty steep, and along with the already kind of high price of the nano, its like $200-something. I'd rather just have a cheaper one anyways, and get a refurbished nano to get the price under $150.Have you seen these watchbands?

Now how cool would it be if that was your phone?
Seriously, I don't buy all these "iphone nano" mockups that just have iOS in a 3x3 grid or whatever. There's no way they would ask all the developers to make new apps for a screen size which is only a little bit smaller. I think it makes sense for them to make the iPod nano into a iPhone nano, and keep apps as the differentiator between the iphone nano and the iphone 4/5.
The thing which will solve the interface issue is the nuance text-to-speech, the Siri AI, and iCloud connectivity.
