I love mine

Short answer: I love mine.

Use it everyday when commuting to work. It gets filled with lots of podcasts and the supply never seems to run dry. Also use it about four times a week when running. It weighs about nothing and clips to my shorts or belt. What really makes me like it is the small size and weight and that it has a builtin clip.

The screen allows me to choose what podcast to listen to. The rest simply works.

'Does anyone actually like the 6th Gen Nano?' My answer: OF COURSE!! the ipod nano is awesome (though I do wish I could afford a 64 Gb ipod touch).

Love my 6th Gen ipod nano

I work out quite a bit and since they added a touch screen to the 6th Gen, I think it is perfect for playing music while on the go. Don't need bigger, don't want a camera, definately don't want a wheel. I need a light-weight music player, and for that it is perfect and can hold tons of songs. The clip is also perfect. The engineers made this THE best portable music player. Radio is nice feature too. I need reading glasses so have trouble reading screen but am not willing to give up the portability. Quit bitching ya'all. This is just what it is...not a small ipod touch!! I LOVE MY IPOD NANO 6th GEN!!!

anyone who doesn't like it needs to rethink what they want.

An Ipod nano is music, pure and simple. If they want all the other bits, get a touch. If you just want music, tell me what exactly there isn't to like?

People will always find something to complain about, even if a device is perfect for its purpose. Its human nature.

Sorry but, I disagree. I already have an iPhone, and I also have a 4th generation iPod Nano (the previous body style, but minus the camera) for just music purposes for when I want something small-ish/light for working out. If it were to die, I think I'd go on eBay or something to try getting another one before buying one of the current generation Nanos.

It's not about the fact that it doesn't do what the other iPod/iPhone models do, it's about the fact that it's too damn small. I don't understand Apple's (and other companies') obsession with smaller, smaller, smaller. You can only get it so small until it just becomes awkward to use, unless you have freakishly small hands. The previous generation was a good combination of functionality and size. The current one is not. To me, there's no real benefit to the additional reduction in size...it's just a means for them to say, "oh cool, look how small we can make these things."

I love my 6G Nano. Admittedly, I also own a 2G iPod touch so I occasionally go through periods where it isn't used much, but I still love it as a Music device.

However, I may need to give it up in my endeavors towards making an iPad my only PC once iOS 5 is released.....

I love my 6th gen Nano. The size is fantastic. I could give a rats ass about the camera and games etc. this thing is simply for listening to music. I have my iphone for all the other stuff. I prefer having the dedicated music player.

I don't have any problem with it, but I don't have one either. I've only used one for a few minutes at an Apple store. I like my click wheel iPods, but I can see how using a nano when exercising would be good at least in terms of weight. My wife has a 4th Gen Nano that I'd use in the gym if it were a little more manly (it's pink) so I use my 80 gig classic. My first ever iPod was a 1st gen nano which I loved but the 4 gig capacity was just not enough. This is making me consider a 6th gen (or 7th gen when they're released). Ideally a 32gb model at the current 16gb price.

My cousin thought his 6th gen nano was broke so it was down to me to fix it (just needed to recover) but I was playing with it for a couple of days before he picked it up.

Don't like. Way too fiddly and a step back from my 5th gen Nano. Not sure what they were thinking, it's more like a Shuffle except not as cheap or disposable.

The 6th Gen nano was specifically designed for people who actually wanted a shuffle, but didn't realize they could get one for much less money.
For those of use that actually use the old 5G nano and understand its technology and capabilities, the 6G is a toy - a total joke in every way. The 6th gen is great for soccer moms (and the under 6 crowd) who ONLY listen to a few songs every now and then. Anyone tech-savy at all wouldn't be caught dead with a 6G.
It's the clear winner of the "laugh out loud" award. It's just bad. SOOO bad.

love mine to bits use it everyday to listen to podcasts mainly, I use it on a watch strap, if i want video player or a camera etc, I have a phone for that, but bluetooth on it would be nice, if anyone is listening:)

I have first, a third, and fifth gen nanos, and the third gen "fat" nano is by far my favorite design. Not only does it have more personality, but it just fits nicely in the hand (whereas the fifth has some sharp corners).

As for the sixth gen, it really is the touchscreen that dooms it for me. I need to be able to both skip tracks and change volume without looking at the screen, and you can do both on an older nano without it ever leaving your pocket.

This is how I feel too. I have a few of the gens but the "fat" third is my most used and feels the best in my hand.

that's why there is a big push towards headphones that have built in support for voume/track changing. Im pretty sure they had this in mind when designing the 6th gen.

I hate how people are saying, "If you want video get an iPod Touch!" Because the whole reason people are mad is that the Nano could Previously, and cannot now. Yet it stayed at the same price range.

Anyone tech savy wouldn't be caught with a iPod period. iPods are simplistic devices there are plenty of other players out there with better capabilities and better sound quality.

The 6th gen isn't a bad music player, its pricing should be cheaper though to make up for lack of video and camera. I mean honestly who uses the nano for video or its camera? fluff features in my opinion.

The 6g has one great use: a replacement to the iPod shuffle. It gives you the size of the shuffle, but with the option to choose your music. Don't think of it as a nano, but a shuffle with a screen.

nano 6g not recognised in my computer ,yes ive checked on apple help!

my new NANO 6G fails to be recognised on my PC ,in ''my computer '' and subsequently in i-tunes. when i look in usb ''controllers'' it is there but flagged up with a yellow blob and a ! mark in the yellow blob, if i rt click this it tells me the usb device wont open due to code 10.i think it needs a current driver but so far cannot obtain such a thing? my nano remains silent!PLEASE help!! much obliged pete.

I've tried looking for a device that's as small and as lightweight as either the Nano or the Shuffle and I can't find anything that's not complete garbage.

iPod Nano 6th gen

I actually LOVE the new iPod Nano. I ditched my iPod Touch and got this. It's much better suited for cycling, running and other aerobic activities. I bought the watch strap and wrist strap accessories and both work out great. I also have an iPhone so really had no need for another larger touch screen (except my iPad 2, of course) device.

I was happy to get the radio and pedometer which I didn't have previously.
