Just put it on ignore. It makes life so much easier....

Is it your shift now?

Perhaps, in this obvious troll thread that had to be moved from the iPhone forum to here, you could actually address the issues rather than advise people to stick their fingers in their ears and go “LA LA LA SAMSUNG TOTALLY BEST AND FASTEST”. I bet you can’t though.

For every person or thread you call troll on, you are contributing to the trolldom too. Just saying.

Back on topic.

The S9 would be amazing if it had 6 GB RAM, headphone jack, band 71, and good color options. I'm thinking I'll wait on the V30 until the S9 is released. I've got an old Note 3 that has treated me wonderfully and still is. So I do like Samsung even with their mishaps. I wish we'd get the active versions on T-Mobile. I'd be super stoked. I'm still not a huge fan of the edge screens and the active versions I could go without a case.

I can only imagine this word salad made more sense in your head.

Let me make it simple then. You are just as much a troll as the people who you call a troll. Now I'm going to stop replying so the mods don't have to lock this thread.

Sorry mods, I will hush and carry on.

I have to say I doubt the S9 is getting 6GB of RAM. They'll probably keep it for the Note series for at least another year.

Who called me a troll?

Did i go along to Samsungrumors.com, fail to find the “alternatives” sub forum (that doesn’t exist) and the post a “Don’t buy the Note 9, wait for the X+1” right in the Galaxy forums? Who’s trolling who where?

I’m out.

That's pretty awesome that you've seen the final design of the Galaxy S9 and can give your honest opinion on that and not a rumor some random person on the internet stated.

This was a post about the rumored design, right? There’s also a patent for it by Samsung so there is some truth behind it. You android folks sure are defensive.

You can always play the waiting game while I get the S9 why not wait for the LG v40 wait for the note 9 or instead just wait for the iPhone x 2.

I do think the S9 will get 6GB, due to how much smoother the Note 8 is extra RAM.

Oh because it looked to me like you stated that's what the S9 was going to look like. And Apple has all kinds of designs in patents they've never used.

What qualifies being "Android folk"? I have plenty of Apple devices too. If anyone is being defensive, it's you.

I was simply responding to the post. The one you’re in. And by Android folks, I mean all the Android fans that feel the need to come creep around Apple forums for some reason. It’s sad.

From what i have seen of your posts you have both but seem to bag Apple a lot, so you don't vote with your $$? strange!!

To be fair, @jamezr has been known to stick the boot in Samsung and other Android OEMs too.

Perhaps not quite so severely but his opinions are his opinions, seem consistent and logical and I’ve never seem him just step out of the Alternatives section just to annoy people like some others.

but its not there now

True but @DNichter posted in it before it was moved, which meant he got alerts when it was posted in (which don’t say where it is). Some people follow him, other people follow them and so and so on.

Don’t get me wrong, the thread should just die. Should have been deleted and the OP suspended as far as I’m concerned.

ahhhh.....misinformation. I don't bag on Apple. Then if you actually read my posts you will see I am hard on Samsung too!
But I am not an apologist either. I have a iphone 7+ and have a 8+ pre ordered. It will be here Friday. I am even taking the day off work just to set up and play with my new iPhone.
I also have a Note 8 and love that phone too! See having used different phones and mobile OSes give people a unique perspective. They become OS agnostic. All we want is a good user expedience. It doesn't matter what the logo says on the phone.

I post in a lot of forums all over different sites. You soon begin to always get context of where you are and what forums and threads you are posting in.

In this case most people just got sucked into a s**tpost that should never have been posted in the iPhone forum, never mind anywhere else, and carried it on.

I’m not ragging on you, quite the opposite, I think you’re one of the better posters here. One thing that gets me with you though is you seem to get prematurely irked if anyone not in the usual crowd, who don’t buy 5 Androids a year, posts here. This is an Apple focused site and forum with an “alternative” subforum. The Apple people are not the aliens here.

No interest in arguing with you to be honest. Neither of us have any real interest in this thread.

I don't get irked at all. Just don't the patience for the Apple apologist that wander in with all their BS. They are easy to spot. It is a Apple centric site and the greater percentage of us have a ton of Apple products at home. But the Alternative section is for anyone to talk about non apple products. There are a great deal of people that like to have a variety of experiences with our mobile devices. So this place is for those discussions without eliciting all the fury it would create in the other brand specif threads.

It’s to talk about non-Apple stuff, that’s absolutely right. Nowhere, absolutely nowhere does it say, implicitly or explicitly, that you have to own them to talk about them. While you have the likes of {well you know who and I’ll likely be banned for mentioning them when they report their fee-fees} crapping up even the iOS 11 forum, despite neither owning or caring to own Apple devices you will see the counterpoint.

My personal opinion? The subforum just shouldn’t exist. No fury elicited that way. As long as it does there will be “invasions” in both directions. There are plenty of Android and Samsung sites if people want to talk about it; it doesn’t belong here.

I don’t pretend the above is anything but my opinion.

i disagree wholeheartedly.......there should be a sub forum like this to talk about non apple stuff. Because lets face it....variety is the spice of life. There should be a place for this kind of discussion. Knowledge and learning is a good thing.

there are Apple sites out there that are just the way you describe such as AppleInsider. They don't tolerate any non Apple discussions and it gets very ugly when anyone trys to do so.

Having open intelligent discussion is always a benefit and people can learn and exchange ideas and experiences. Its a good think imho.

No one forces people to come into this section...and vice versa to the regular MR threads.

There is. Android Central, Android Authority (i’m pulling these out my ass admittedly) etc. etc.

How do you know? Why where you or anyone else trying to talk about Android at AppleInsider? The clue is in the name there.

there should be a sub forum like this to talk about non apple stuff
Why? Is there an Apple subforum at Android Central or Android Authority or Galaxy Forums? No? Why not? It seems fairly obvious. They don’t belong there. You could go to 9to5Mac, or AppleInsider or MacRumors. Except the latter has a reputation for being toxic and this subforum, imvho, is one of the primary reasons.

“Knowledge is a good thing”. “Having open intelligent discussion is always a benefit”

That’s not what happens though. This is pretty much a hugbox with cursory affectations of being otherwise. Unless someone comes in, prostrate to the charms of Samsung, exactly what happened in this thread happens.

Ok, maybe wrong wording, you are very defensive when someone says something about Samsung, but when iPhone is bagged not so, is that better?

I disagree, i think they should can it, it's the same old people over and over with their bias against anything Apple, and anyone that has anything to say about Samsung in particular is named a troll or dismissed as a amateur.
Sure some have both which is good, but there is seperate forums you can go to..
