I do. Depends on situations though, at work I wear long sleeves so it’s partially covered people do notice and comment. Not really negative although some think it’s weird and it kinda is so that’s ok, I do it because I want the notifications and the health tracking and I sell watches so like to wear a mechanical timepiece as well. If I’m out for dinner or something I’ll usually just pick one or the other though. I have the AWU so just need to own it really and do what you want and not worry about what other people think.

Today I checked my rings and feel very sad about a lot of days without any sign of activities. Still thinking about double wrist with my Sub and my AW, because I can’t imagine my Sub not on my wrist.

If you are concerned about silly looking with two watches at the same time , you can try to wear Apple Watch with face down on the right hand, it will be like a bracelet -)

I completely stopped wearing my old watch when I got an AW. It surprised me, but sporting the nice old watch meant giving up AW functionality. And as for the alternative of strapping on BOTH in my bleary-eyed morning? Well, I'm just too lazy for that.

Watches are like hats: One hat and you're covered!

I wouldn't look down on someone who does this - I'd probably try to strike up a conversation and ask about the mechanical watch. I just don't think I could do it. Yes, my 2 non-smart watches are amazing and I really like them but I haven't worn them for years.

Loving my Ultra. Looking forward to several years of use before I even think of upgrading. :D

I'm almost considering no longer wearing my Apple watch. I'm starting to realize that the only reason I wear it is so that my daughter knows that I closed my rings. I almost never do.

I don't. Watches used to be the only "jewelry" I'd wear. But getting older, needing reading glasses, they became more difficult for me to see. I was glad the electronic watches came out - especially the Apple Watch. I can see the time, date, and now just about whatever I want to see - using multiple faces if needed.

If I saw someone wearing two watches would I think they were nuts? No. Before electronic watches, some would wear more than one watch to keep track of time in more than one time zone.

No that would be stupid. I do own a mechanical watch and I wear both equally, on days that I am wearing a suit I wear the mechanical watch. On days that is more casual and I am expected to move around a lot I wear the Apple Watch. At the gym I wear the Apple Watch. Going out I tend to wear the mechanical watch.

When wearing long sleeves, I often double wrist when at the office or attending meetings. AW is a nice and discreet way to check notifications. Other than that, only one watch (selected based on the occasion/activity). I dream of a super thin rectangular Apple Watch that could attach to the clasp (or bracelet) so I can have both on the same wrist, mechanical top and AW bottom.

That DateJust dial is stunning!

One of the reasons I love mechanical watches is the size. I love big watches. But now that the ultra has come out, I don’t wear my mechanical watch/es anymore. My only complaint is I wish the ultra was bigger. At Least a 52mm

If you want to see „live“ impressions how double-wristing looks, this youtube guy always wears a watch and a Watch in his videos:

Few days ago I tried the combo Submariner on the left wrist and AW Ultra on the right wrist 😅 I think I will try again in the future.

My actual setting!
Amazing piece!

My solution to this, has been to set my stand goal to 6 hours and leave my other ring goals high. So when waking up and getting ready in the morning getting first two hours and putting on my mechanical for the office. Afternoon going for a run with my Apple Watch and all rings closed. Kind of best of both worlds

I recently got a Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic that I love to wear when out and about. Even more recently, I got an AWU 2 that I also like to wear for the gym and runs.

I found a solution to this that works for me. I bought a biceps band from Amazon and wear the AWU on my biceps (more upper biceps right below the shoulder) when I want to keep the health tracking features of the AWU and still wear a mechanical watch on my wrist. The trick (after some experimenting) to get it to record the most accurate data while wearing it on the upper arm/biceps is to wear it on the inside of the biceps and upside-down orientation. I know this seems counterintuitive, but when I wore it right side up on the outside and inside of my biceps, it would over estimate my stand minutes. I could be sitting the entire hour and it would think I was standing for 50 minutes. Putting it on upside down on the inside of the biceps prevents this and still gives pretty accurate data (maybe a couple less stand minutes per hour but way better than over estimating stand minutes).

I do not wear my last mechanical watch anymore. Just too dangerous in todays world.

It is Apple, all the way.

And the funny thing is, I had several girls asking me questions about the Ultra 2 I was wearing. Seems a $700 Apple Watch impresses people already.

Besides, $500 replica’s almost look identical as the real $20.000 watch. Only experts with magnification glasses can tell the difference, so you are buying expensive watches for only a very small group of people who can tell you are wearing a $20.000 watch.
