Yeah, and iOS 9 is buttery smooth, doesn't lag at all. Control center doesn't lag either. 6+ doesn't need more RAM. Etc.
So saying that something in particular doesn't sound typical means someone is in complete denial? That's certainly some sound logic right there. And we still wonder which group is being the needlessly confrontational one.

No, but iOS has been known for random weird moments of lag ever since iOS 7 was introduced, so to me it completely makes sense.

Definitely known, but also that not all of these things are necessarily common. Some are more than others. This one doesn't sound like one (that doesn't say it doesn't exist or anything like that, but that it could potentially be related to a particular device more than a generic iOS thing).

i can confirm this.

did a vanilla ios 9.0 restore on an iphone 4s. even the setup assistant was sluggish. settings app opened slower. content swiping more sluggish.
then, i did a vanilla restore to ios 8.4.1 and all was well. the setup assistant behaved smoothly. settings app quicker.

all this without any backup restored. was using it like i just bought the phone with no data on it. let's just hope 9.1 will improve things. there was kind of an interesting little discussion about the issue in gruber's latest the talk show episode.

Everyone experiences that slight lag, but some people will never confess they do.
Some people don't notice various small ones and thus wouldn't be bothered by them. Some do and are still not bothered by them given that they are that minor for them and don't occur in most places they use. Some people actually have larger lags that other people don't have. Overall "lags" have been around since iOS 7 days.

it's not a matter of confession but of sensitivity to such things. the average joe is ok with most crap everybody thows at him. look at (the earlier versions of) android.
