For those who have ever downsized-12 Pro Max to 12 Pro, etc. do you regret it? I have always had the larger phones-have 12 PM now- but I miss the one handed operation of the smaller phones, considering going with 13 Pro. Thoughts?

I always had the larger phone from the 6+, 6S+, 8+, XS Max, but last year I went to the regular 12 and I don't miss the larger phones. I find myself using my iPad Pro more now than when I had my XS Max because where I normally want the larger screen is at home (everyone is different with their use cases). Love the size and light weight of my 12.

Yes I bought iPhone 12 Pro last year coming from 11 pro max. I lasted one week and returned it for 12 pro max

I love the screen size and battery life of the 12 Pro Max but it doesn't feel as comfortable to hold as the 11 Pro Max did. I'm swapping it for a 13 Pro (non-max) and I'm even considering the 13 mini instead. I've ordered the new iPad mini to use as my "bigger" screen.

went 7+ to X. Absolutely no regrets and would not go back large.
I am male and have my phone in my pocket, the other half carries a bag and has an 11P+. That works for her.

I always had the biggest phone until last year when I got the regular sized 12 Pro. I have enjoyed the size of it for portability reasons. It fits in the pocket easier than a bigger phone and while I still use 2 hands to use it properly, it is useable to some extent with one hand. Having said that overall I have decided to go back to the Max this time. mainly because of the bigger battery and because the larger screen is more useable for me for longer productivity tasks - I have found since getting the normal pro that I often put things off until I have access to my ipad whereas when I previously had the XS Max I would do much more on my phone. I have just received my pro max silicone case though and oh boy it is massive!

Same decision here. I have the 12 PM but with the battery gains of the non max 13 now taking that to what the 12 max could do and there being no differences in cameras (like the 12 max having longer zoom) I'm leaning towards the standard 13 pro.
I bought a 12 mini a few months back as a work phone and really enjoy the fact it's not such a beast. plus i have and IPP for times when i want a big screen, movies etc.
Still really torn though, i guess i could return it if its not for me, but that a pain and i'll probably end up not being able to get an immediate replacement as pre orders push wait times out. hmm......

This is exactly what I decided to do! Going with 13 Pro and iPad Mini!

I did this iPhone year. I've used the 6+, 6s+, 8+, Xs Max, 11 Pro Max. Then for the 12, I figured I'd get the 12 Pro.

Yeah that didn't last long. While it was ALMOST the same, I could feel (at least I thought I could) the battery life difference and I noticed my screen wrapped text that my wife's 12 Pro Max didn't.

Gave 12 Pro to family and got a 12 Pro Max. But there is quite a bit of a weight difference. That 12 Pro just felt perfect in my hand and ... now I kinda wish I had kept it.

The biggest factors to consider?

Do you have an iPad? Do you read mostly on a Mac? If you use your phone mostly - get the 13 Pro Max. If you have an iPad, MacBook - I'd recommend a smaller iPhone.

This is like déjà vu, I have the same conversation with you every year, and every year I say I’m going to skip the Max, and get the smaller version, yet I always gravitate towards the Max. Lol. This year it’s definitely going to be the Pro. I love my 12 Pro Max, but if the battery on the Pro is anything close to what they claim, it should more than be okay for me.

So now the big question is which color to get this time around? (I’ll end up getting graphite as usual) but I always say I’m gonna change it up and never do. This year’s no different I need to see the new blue in person before I decide, but I’m quite sure I’ll be rocking a black or graphite or whatever it’s called, as per my usual

How long did you have the 12 Pro before you decided to get the Max?

I do have ipads. I use the phone for photos/videos, light email and some internet/youtube.

I am in the same boat! I have said non-max for me this year...then I order the Max in fear I will miss the screen size. I hold others non-max phones and they feel perfect in the hand to me. I just have to do it this year!

I really like the Sierra Blue.

I held onto it for several months. Last year the 12 Pro came out a month? or two? before the Pro Max did. By the time the Pro Max came out, my wife got hers and ... after a week comparing, I went back LOL. So (a month and a week?).

I’m definitely going Max to Pro this year and I’m almost 100% sure. LOL! (Watch I’ll be showing off my new Max in a few weeks) I’m just like @BigMcGuire I've compared my Max to my son’s Pro like a million times, and if I wasn’t going to get a new iPad, I’d stay with the Max again. For exactly the reasons he said.

Now I know I’m never far from a charger, but yes, battery life was a factor, the camera on the 12 PM/Pro not being equal (I know, it’s a minuscule difference) was another factor, but this year I’m liking the Pro more and more.

My last Pro was the 11, and while I liked it, I returned it for the 11 Pro Max after 2 days and really felt like I didn’t give it a fair chance. So yeah, Pro for me this time around and that’s a definite maybe!!! 😆
