I am going from 11 Pro Max to 13 Pro. 11 Pro Max was my only big phone and I regretted the decision since I got it. Ever after two years, I never converted to the big phone crowd. Cant wait for my 13 Pro :)
I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I think I'm going to get the 13 pro but am concerned I will miss the screen real estate even if my 11 Pro Max is quite large. I've kinda gotten used to it.

I was gonna order the 13 Pro Max this year but... I didn't want to wait until mid to late October to get it so I ordered the 13 Pro. I sometimes hate the size of the 12 Pro Max when it's in my pocket. I can always buy the 13 Pro Max if I don't like the smaller pro size.

You won’t regret it. I decided to go big again this year and I don’t even have the phone yet and I feel like I’m going to regret it. I’ve had a +/max phone since they introduced them. I had to downgrade from my 12 pro max to an 11 and love the size. Just miss the battery life..

No regrets. XS Max, 11 Pro Max, 12 Pro Max, 12 Pro and 13 Pro again. The Pro Max is to big and heavy. Even heavier this year then last. I have a 2020 iPad Pro 11” and don’t need the Pro Max anchor to carry.

Decided to downsize. I have had an 11 Pro Max for 2 years now. I had a X before that and loved the size. I like the Pro Max but at times it’s just BIG!!! I don‘t game on my phone or watch movies. Have an iPad for that. It will be an adjustment but I’m sure I’ll be fine.

For those who have ever downsized-12 Pro Max to 12 Pro, etc. do you regret it? I have always had the larger phones-have 12 PM now- but I miss the one handed operation of the smaller phones, considering going with 13 Pro. Thoughts?
I downgraded from 11 Pro Max to 12 Pro. This year I’m getting the 13 Pro Max. The form factor is nice, but I have found I was missing the screen size with my day to day use, the larger phone is the one I’ll be using going forward for my day to day use.

Now that the cameras are the same again I’m not hesitating to downsize back to the Pro. The Pro Max is just too big to be comfortable in my hands.

I'm still on my trusty XR. I did use the Mini last year and enjoyed it minus the battery life. Will report back in a few weeks time.

This. I actually already downgraded and missed the marginally better camera on the pro max. No longer have to make they sacrifice.

Battery life on the 12 Pro isn’t great for my usage. But I’m sticking with this size for the 13 Pro with the battery improvements.

Going from 12pm to 13pro this year.
Same. Battery of 13P is close enough to 12PM for me.. they might even have the same battery life considering my 12PM battery is at 95%. Likely supplementing MBA with new iPad Mini. I sold my iPad Pro 12 for the M1 MBA ..and didn’t realize I can’t download movies on MBA (Netflix, Peacock) like I could on iOS. We travel a good bit and that was nice.

The verge posted the battery capacities and the 12PM had 14.13Wh, while the 13P has 11.97Wh.

Downsizing this year so I hope the 13P battery will truly be similar to the 12PM if not better…

Had a 12PM for almost a year and thinking of maybe trying the 12 mini just for easier pocket carry. I have a large credit for VZW and thought about just picking one up to try out and if it doesn't work I can pass on to my daughter.

I usually just do emails, pics and no gaming or video streaming. Anyone went 12PM to Mini and still like it?

If there’s not much difference price wise, definitely get the 13 mini over the 12 mini if you can.

I was able to snag a 13 pro coming from an 11 Pro Max. It definitely feels weird in the hand. Although it isn't, it feels significantly heavier than my 11PM. I think it's because it's denser with the new design (flatter not curved). Pictures are really good. Battery life seems to be improving on Day 3. Not sure if I'm keeping it on going to the 13 Pro Max, although that seems impossible to get my hands on....

Thanks. I just ordered a 13 mini, definitely the improvements are worth the $45-50 difference. Looking forward to smaller form factor.

I never had a plus size or max phone, until the 13 Pro Max. I’ve had it for 3 days now and I mostly enjoy it. Typing is much nicer and the battery is amazing. I keep looking for negatives. A couple are struggling at times putting it in my pocket and one handed/ease of use.

I keep thinking I will grow tired of the weight and size. It causes some anxiety thinking I may regret it after my 14 days are up. I pickup my wife’s 13 Pro and it feels small. Crazy after only 3 days. But even though it’s “small” it feels more comfortable, natural. Not sure if that makes sense.

I’ve got 11 days to decide. Not sure what I’ll do but I keep looking for stock for the 13 Pro to pop up at a local Apple store. If I was betting on or against myself, I’d bet I’ll choose the comfort and peace of mind of the 13 Pro. Decisions, decisions…

I’ve been in the Plus/Max camp since the iPhone 6 but this year I’ve switched back to the 13 Pro. The 12 Pro Max Design is too wide, to tall, too thick. When I put it in the front trousers pocket, it sometimes prevents me from tying my shoelaces. And the 13 Pro Max doubled down in this regard and even a bit more. It is not going to feel good in the hands. So this year when the Pro brothers have the same features except the screen size and battery size, I went back to the Pro. I’m so happy with my decision.

At the end of the day, the OP needs to have a device that works best since the 13 Pro model will be in service for quite a while. I would at least try the 13 Pro Max for a couple of weeks to make sure that there are no regrets. We can only provide feedback.
