I downsized from the iPhone 8 Plus to the iPhone 10s. The new phone suddenly seemed tiny. It never would have bothered me if I hadn’t gotten used to the big phone, but once I did, going back was hard. (Not impossibly hard. I do’t want to exaggerate, but I definitely missed the screen area.)

I’m having the same internal debate as well

I currently have an 11PM and my wife has an 11pro and I much prefer the size of mine and feel like content on her screen is just too damn small however the 12/13 pro is a little bigger than hers and a little smaller than my 11PM since they made the 12/13 pro’s a little bigger than the X/XS/11’s. Also didn’t realize at first that the 12/13 PM’s grew a little in height as well and I already feel like I’m pushing comfort with 6.5 and wonder if that .2 will make that much more of a stretch to get to the top of the 13PM.

Might have to hit up a Best Buy today to compare the 12pro and 12PM sizes against my 11PM before I order tomorrow.

Anyone regret downsizing from an X/XS/11 max to the 12pro? At least on paper the battery looks to be better on the 13pro than my 11PM and I like that the camera specs are identical on the 13pro and PM and other than the battery boost, I don’t see any other advantages other than size preference between the 13pro and PM.

I have always had the plus size phones and last year I downgraded from my 11 pro max to the 12 pro. i got on absolutely fine with it and really liked the size and weight but for the last three months I’ve been thinking how much I have missed the extra screen size and battery life and so I’m going back to pro max with the 13 this year

For me since the camera is the same(wasn't for 12 P vs PM) and the 13 Pro's battery is better than my 12 Pro Max, it makes the decision easier.

Also the weight it an issue. The 12 PM is just heavy. Doesn't feel great in the hand because of that.

Went from the 12PM to 12 pro and grabbed a 12.9 inch iPad Pro and it handled my use case perfectly. Didn’t regret my decision one bit yet here I am still debating whether I want the 13PM or 13 pro. (Yet still leaning towards 13 pro.)

I went a few years with the Plus size but downsized when I bought my 11Pro. I really like being able to "one-hand" it when needed, and it fits way better in my pocket. So if I do upgrade, it will be to a 13Pro.

I’ve had 6 Plus, 6s Plus, 7 Plus, X, 11 Pro Max, and 12 Pro Max. For the first time I’m going to downgrade and get the 13 Pro. Mainly due to the cameras now being exact the same.

I can’t decide. I haven’t had a plus/max size phone since the 8. I’m currently using an XS with a cracked screen and I’m ready for a new toy.

I’m leaning towards the Max because I use Navionics+ and a few other boating map apps and a bigger screen would really help. However I think I may be in the “get an iPad mini” camp as that would be good for not only the boat charts but also Foreflight.

The main holdup there is that the iPad mini is not water resistant (my boat is small and open) and doesn’t rock the 1000 nits of screen brightness like the pro so it will be harder to read in daylight. Also, if I get the iPad, do I even need the pro or would the non-pro be just fine. First world probs, right?

Anyway, Ive been doing this math since the rumors about what we were getting were out and I’m stuck in analysis paralysis. I can’t bring myself to commit to any of the options.

I do remember being somewhat annoyed by the pocketability of the 8+ and I’m a little concerned about the weight on all these pros, but having a phone that lasts all day again would be amazing.

tell me what to do!

My exact thoughts. I only got 12PM last year due to the better camera. Now 13 Pro has better battery life than my 12 PM so there really isn't any downside except for less screen real estate.

13 Pro should last you all day-it's better battery life than 12 Pro Max.

Downsizing from 11PM. I hate how annoying it is to hold, but I'm afraid that the 13 Mini will be too small. We'll see.

Well, pulled the trigger on 13 Pro, Sierra Blue 256. Ordered Spigen Liquid Armor and glass screen protector. Can't wait.

I was seriously thinking about downsizing to the 13pro, but when it came to my order his morning I flipped back to the 13pro max, it will be replacing my 12 pro max

For those who have ever downsized-12 Pro Max to 12 Pro, etc. do you regret it? I have always had the larger phones-have 12 PM now- but I miss the one handed operation of the smaller phones, considering going with 13 Pro. Thoughts?
I downgraded for the 12 pro. I miss the screen size and battery life of the Pro Max. Hence, I ordered the 13 Pro Max.

I am going from 11 Pro Max to 13 Pro. 11 Pro Max was my only big phone and I regretted the decision since I got it. Ever after two years, I never converted to the big phone crowd. Cant wait for my 13 Pro :)

A little while ago, I went from a XS Max to an 11 Pro. Thought I wanted a big phone after owning a couple of the Plus models, but the additional screen real estate made it impossible rather than just difficult to use one handed, and I got fed up of having to move it in my pocket when sitting down or tying my shoe laces. Can’t imagine what the even bigger 12 PM would have been like.

Much preferred the 5.8” 11 Pro after I switched, and think the 6.1“ 12/13 Pro is the perfect size. Like it even more now that the cameras are the same as the bigger brother!

Don’t think iOS uses the extra screen very well, so don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything apart from a bit more battery life (which admittedly is always nice, but not worth the other trade offs IMO).

I had an iPhone X and upgraded to the 11 Pro when the 11 series came out -- I thought the 6.1" screen size of the iPhone 11 was just a little too uncomfortable compared with the 5.8" size of the iPhone 11 Pro (and iPhone X).

Now that the iPhone 13 series phones are all 6.1" (normal and Pro), I'm very strongly thinking about downsizing to the iPhone 13 mini.

I'll probably wait until I can get my hands on both just to be sure, but either I upgrade to a 5.4" iPhone 13 mini or I keep my 5.8" iPhone 11 Pro for another year.

Unfortunately, rumors are that this will be the last year for the mini and that there will be nothing smaller than 6.1" next season, so it might be a good time to grab the smaller phone as I may not have another chance when the 14 series comes out.
