I am having an Atrial Fibrillation event now. I was diagnosed last year with Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation (this means that the A-Fib comes and goes) without any warnings. The only way the Doctors found it, I was admitted into A&E with a broken and dislocated thumb last year. I have no symptoms and the only way I know I am having an event is my Apple Watch. When my watch warned me a few years ago and by the time I went to the local Doctors the ECG showed normal. Doctors did not believe my watch, now they are very interested in my recorded events. I don't usually take an ECG now because I am on medication and although it doesn't stop it, it will manage my heart rate and blood pressure. It's been suggested that I may have had this condition for many many years. So thank you Apple, nice one.👍:)

I have not done such a test myself, but I work as a doctor, and I have had various carious cases in my practice. Once, an elderly lady came to us, and we were shocked after we did her EKG. Her EKG looked like she had bought 40 grams of good, strong marijuana before she came to us.
no idea what you are trying to tell us in the context of AW ECG capabilities ...

What's really cool is that the new version of WatchOS will record how long you were in afib for. Might be some useful data for you to share.

I'm on AW07 OS8.6 45mm - so up to date - will get the new AW8 when it arrives.

Other information is Heart Rate Variability - this goes flying up when I am having an A-Fib event.
