Actually, I'm more so wailing at the fact AAPL WENT DOWN $9.67 TODAY BECAUSE OF RUMOR.

Actually, I'm more so wailing at the fact AAPL WENT DOWN $9.67 TODAY BECAUSE OF RUMOR.
I'd love to if I had more money to invest, but most of what I've got is already in it. It's not terrible since I'm going long with it, but it's just upsetting that people don't look to verify their sources, they just react impulsively.
That being said, I'm hoping Apple gets something out soon that hasn't been announced. It's great to get online and see a bunch of people going crazy over awesome products. Doesn't hurt the stock either!

So how does your sister like her new iMac? Now that mine is here right in front of me, I'm pretty fired up. I'm not as disappointed as I thought I would be now that new iMacs will probably announced tomorrow. Also FWIW, Final Cut Studio 2 runs just fine on this baby (including Motion)!
I haven't had a chance to go over and set it up for her yet as I just had a baby wednesday(little girl, first one ) I'm gonna try to get over tonight to help her set it up. She said the packing slip inside says a different persons name and such though so I am going to check that out.

That's weird.
Welp she brought it over for me to set up and I looked at it. Its wierd that the serial number matched and the outside shipping address was right just a packing slip said a different persons name in houston texas and she's in watsontown pa. It also shut off on her once and had some slight marring along the edge of the plastic and a slight scratch in the upper right hand side. Almost like it was opened or something.
Apple is just shipping her a new one so I don't know what she'll get. I wonder if it is an upgrade if they will let her configure the new model since the options won't match up.

Glad to hear that Apple is steppin' it up and shipping her a new one. It'd be nice if she gets one of the (hopefully) upgraded ones.

It could have been worse. I mean, if the baby would have come with the wrong packing slip, THAT would give me some thoughts

And then it shows a imac 20" CTO with the same part number Z0DH as the one she had before and it says not yet shipped. I think its a good bet that she'll get the new model since its a CTO and the person on the phone guaranteed a non refurb model. I am going to call for her after she ships out her old one and ask about the rebate and such and bring up the fact that there are new models out there and ask about possibly getting one.
But I imagine she'll get the new one I can't imagine they will fire up the production line just to produce one more custom 20" old model. Maybe I can talk her into the 24" now that its only 300 bucks more.
