95/39 and you're faster than 99% of Australians? Are you for real?
My 4G is faster than that!
I'm afraid they are.
Australian internet infastructure is really bad, and the NBN (National Broadband Network) is not going to be the improvement on that so many hope it will be.
The currently elected goverment opted for a FTTN (Fibre to the Node) configuration, rather than a FTTH (Fibre to the Home) configuration, based solely on the short term costs.

So even when a viable fibre network is installed everywhere, it's gonna be hobbled by copper line bottlenecks in many locations, since there won't be fibre going from the nodes to homes in some places.

Can't wait for OS X El Capitan! I have all my documents in iCloud and backup in an external drive. Ready for action (fresh install... of course)!

Why fresh install ? I mean upgrade should be as reliable... I guess. Upgraded from 8.1 to windows 10 and it was so smooth it felt like a fresh install. I think it should be the case with OS X

does anyone know how many hours before this is released?

just got time machine backups now i'm waiting...

There have been many threads on this already. 10am Pacific, 1pm Eastern.

This is the standard for Apple.

and I thought AT&T in the US was the worst.
I heard Rogers LTE is decent? I may very well be wrong.

Rogers is the manifestation of legalized extortion. I honestly cannot express how poor and overpriced cell phone and internet service really is in Canada -- you have to experience it for yourself.

You should see my ISP here... ADSL 4Mbps/512kbps 30GB for $60/month - 1$/1GB extra

It is bad.. but there's always a way to get discounted corporate rates for regular people :) But yes, to re-iterate, it is horrendous.
