Good to see this is starting to come online. I want to switch my AT&T line to the eSIM and then I plan to go to xfinity and get their "by the gig" plan just to have a new phone number that I can tell which line is ringing.

no additional battery drain so far, the only charge was 5.00 for esim card because it was not a corporate store

I'm jealous, I tried my local store and they said they can't do it yet. Glad to see you have it working well.

Picked up an e-sim today at an authorized store. Figured I’d post a pic since I haven’t seen one yet posted.

One thing to keep in mind is that you must pick one phone number to use for iMessage and FaceTime. You can’t activate iMessage and FaceTime for both numbers. You also can’t have data on both sims. However you can elect the option to use one of the sims for “Data Only”.

I’d love to see the option to use whichever carrier has better reception for your data. E.g. carrier 1 has no service, so it automatically switches to carrier 2.

For most use cases, having the second sim for a business line - this is great.

It is my understanding per Apple documents, that both SIMS can use data, just not at the same time.

This is correct. You can pick. I’ve gone back and forth running speed tests with Verizon and AT&T to see which is faster.

Got mine as well. Incredibly easy!

Took them two years to carry the iPhone
True. My corporate Verizon rep brought in a Verizon developer and I asked him about esim and he was very hesitant to give any sort of an answer. Made me feel like they weren’t doing it any time soon.

I might try to get to a store tomorrow AM. I spoke to a rep at a store a week or 10 days ago and he did some checking. He called me back and said "when 12.1 comes out, probably around the release of the R." Of course I never keep cards, so I have no idea which guy he was. If that works out, I'll try to get an xfinity sim (VZW towers) on Friday.

Any rumours/news on T-Mobile? John Legere who is usually very noisy keeps being quiet about it, even on Twitter.

Xfinity doesn’t support as of now. Just AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.

Ok maybe Im overlooking this. I understand LTE Hd voice uses the data. I use Verizon for primary data however when I make a call on the Att line it does not go hd voice. Perhaps it will only work if I use its data as primary. I have already today found a few places in my area where Att is better.

But if I have an AT&T eSIM, can’t I put in any nano sim I want for the second line?
Ah yes you can. My bad.

Go to cellular data and turn on cellular data switching. See if that does anything.

I know Apple states two CDMA carriers won't work for eSIM + physical SIM, but what if my primary (Sprint eSIM) is used in conjunction with a physical Verizon SIM for data only? The Verizon SIM uses LTE (not CDMA) for the data, so it should work in theory right?

Im using verizon sim. Att esim. I can change the data to either one for use. However when I use att for data I lose the HD voice for verizon. But still cant get Att to use HD voice whatsoever.

Just talked to more Verizon managers and they were told esim would be online in about a month and that was about 3 weeks ago...so take that for what it’s worth.

I walked into a corporate store and had it completed.

ATT eSim
Verizon Sim
