It looks like att company store is better than authorized seller store in this case. And your store is authorized seller store as well (Mall of Georgia Store). Three nearby stores (Buford Dr Store, Shawnee Ridge Store, Mall of Georgia Store) are all authorized seller store. You can try Buford Store (3380 Buford Dr), which is company store.
ok im on the phone with tech support now

The corporate store here has no clue as I spoke with one of the managers

The confirmed source is the att store in Newnan. If no success, I will drive there this weekend...

If you have time, you can try att stores in atlanta metropolitan area.

It is strange that Newnan store got esim but north stores haven't.

Arizona store and yes has to be unlocked if you want different carriers
[doublepost=1540262691][/doublepost]the managers really have no idea what the esim cards are for, he went in back and came out with it and asked me if this was the card
Where at in AZ?

Just to show how random stores are. We are staying in Chattanooga due to our son, There are 3 official At&t stores here. None of them had them. Called Cleveland. And they had them. Most of the Nooga stores still dont have them or even know what they are. The only hickup I had during my setup is the sales person mistakenly inputed my verizon IMEI number and thought it had killed my Verizon side. I quickly stopped her before she submitted. I did have to reboot the phone 4-5 times before the At&t line activated.

Good to know I'll try that

Well just another tid bit. One guy just called me back from one store here in Chattanooga and they got them in. 2 still nothing. No resellers even know what they are.

Good news. I found one store has esim:

8725 Roswell Rd Suite R, Atlanta, GA 30350

It is a reseller store.

Bad news. I was unable to activate my esim. When I scanned my qr code, it is said unable to change plan.

I found the trick. Your phone needs to be connected to the internet (wifi) when you scan the QR code. Otherwise the setup will fail. I wonder the esim activating data has been transferred through the internet. If no internet, it will show error.

This att store doesn't have public wifi. I used another phone as hotspot, and it worked (I didn't bring the 2nd phone at first).

It is a $15 lesson, because I paid three sim cards in total (2 esim, 1 standard sim) The agent gave me 4th for free...

The agent did scan the ICCID on the QR sim card, and also input the esim IMEI from my Xs.

Did you call all at&t store near you? Or you had to walk in? I called a few and they all said no...

No, I didn't call. I just drove to the store one by one, and I finally got one in 5th store lol... The reason is, you need to talk with the manager (if I'm correct). If you call the store, you may be hard to talk to the manager directly. Also ATT store is typically full of customers...

True. My corporate Verizon rep brought in a Verizon developer and I asked him about esim and he was very hesitant to give any sort of an answer. Made me feel like they weren’t doing it any time soon.
Interesting I see on my Verizon Xs max on the cellular page an add Cellular plan selection. When I select it then it goes to a page with Scan QR code from your carrier. It also has an enter details manually.

Is that how Verizon is managing it. I’m on beta 5.

I have Verizon. Just to play dumb I called some stores.... They are what are you talking about. Most dont have a clue.

So do not try to activate via online chat they will take the EID and IMEI however they will not provide you a QR code or the SM-DP+ address or activation code resulting in no service. I guess off to an AT&T store tomorrow to ether get an eSIM or new physical sim to get my service back.

I will head into my corporate store today they would not give me one until all iOS 12.1 is released they attempted to give me one but they said they can I activate it or make it work if I added a line. Has anyone tried scanning the QR code with the camera app? To see what information it may obtain? Also has anyone tried on android maybe the QR code has the SM – DP address
