Wow.

I hadn't known that coffee was grown in Papua New Guinea.
Oh, yes! I've had many a pot from there. They grow a really good bean there. I first ran across Papuan coffee years ago when we were subscribing to Gevalia Coffee's, (when they were still a relatively small company from Sweden and hadn't been bought out by Kraft). They take to a medium roast very well. I get it from Dave's Coffee now, (a small Rhode Island coffee company that roasts and ships to my door). Their New Guinea varietal is "Quonnie". I also like their Organic Guatemalan. We've also taken to ordering from a small New York company called King's Coast. They have created some truly nice blends that we like. That's one of the advantages of having the internet and e-commerce. I can find and support these really nice, small coffee companies and get a really high quality product roasted and shipped to my door, quickly.

Yes I finally roasted up some more, Kenyan this time, and it’s so good I decided to go for a second cup. Ahhhhh!

Well, I'm working through my supplies from Kenya - some seriously good coffee - at the moment.

I had been debating the purchase of more Ethiopian coffee today, and realised that I had some perfectly good Kenyan coffee that I had yet to consume and tuck into.

24 hours and one minute later:

You’re remarkably consistent! Well, as it happens I’m having the same right now.

Yes, even when working abroad, my coffee breaks tend to be pretty consistent.

Although, sometimes, when I am post here, I do not draw a distinction between coffee I have just enjoyed, or coffee I am in the process of preparing and therefore have yet to consume.
[doublepost=1536164372][/doublepost]For example, yesterday's post concerned coffee I was already sipping as I wrote the post, whereas today's (you will have noted the absence of a verb, denoting time and tense) was actually still in the future when I wrote the post, but is now in the past (as the coffee, yes, Kenyan, yes, piping hot, and yes, served with organic cream and organic brown sugar), has been happily consumed.

Kenyan AA

Trying to savor a complete mugful before the children wake up and before my morning hunger sets in. Must enjoy what peace and quiet we can get. Flying out later today after we drop the children off at grandparents set one's home.

Last wedding for a while. Though I seem to still have a head cold I picked up in New England a short while back. Never seen so many cycles of rain and sun in my life. What a miserable place to live.

Kenyan AA is excellent; I hope you enjoy it.

Just received a text from "Andrew" "Would you like me to bring you a flat white?" Me; "Yes please! You're me favourite brother!" Andrew; "It's your son" Me; "Yes please! You're my favourite son!".

I am easily pleased....

And the contacts list in your phone doesn't distinguish between Andrew (brother) and Andrew (son)?

My contacts list has all sorts of reminders (the name of the district community nurse is followed by a reference to her profession; same for the gardener, plumber and soon; and yes, friends and relatives, too, if two or more of them bear the same given name).

It does. All I can say that in my excitement at the thought of being brought a flat white I failed to pay attention to which Andrew was doing the bringing.

But before my flat white I am currently having a cup of Yorkshire tea with organic milk and one or two McVities Rich Tea biscuits (dipped in the tea of course). Yummy!

Oooh. McVitie's Rich Tea biscuits: yes, that brings memories - one of my brothers used to love them, but I preferred their oatmeal biscuits.
