@stylinexpat: Could you please do me (and, perhaps, some others) a favour: Perhaps please, load one or two - rather than several - as it takes an eternity to load - pictures or images per post.

And please, post a few posts at a time, rather than one which may take forever to load.

My apologies, not sure where you are at but on my end there really is no waiting time or really any loading times. Thread posts and images just open right up on both my iPhone and MacBook Pro using Safari browser. If you are using Edge speed in China though then I could see your point. I do remember this website taking time to load posts even without images out of China last week. I guess this depends on where one is at, what Wi-Fi speed they have, what Cell Data speed they have or what browser they are using. In Thailand it was also a little slower loading threads from Mac Forums as well but still faster compared to China. Biggest slowdown is usually from countries with censorship as each page has to go through censorship process first and images take more time to censor.

Do you have Instagram? Do images there take eternity to load also?

Just put them in thumbnails, it doesn’t matter whether you have no problem loading. The rest of us do.

Thank God for my strong and so wonderful Cappuccino today :)
Ashtanga cleansing is tough and messes with my head and focus otherwise
Body and mind in perfect balance, who said that was easy.

Doesn’t matter if there’s problem about loading or not, with that many photos, thumbnails is a absolute must. Even if photos are interesting, or not. Respectfully and respecting.

I remember seeing a video review for that Breville unit. Though I remember it using a glass container. I saw it on Seattle Coffee Gear's channel maybe five or more years ago. I want to say 2009, but that's when I discovered them. All I remember is that Gale and the blond woman were the hosts. Or I'm thinking of the hot chocolate machine.

It is not too shabby. The results I noticed depend on the quality of milk used. The better the quality of milk the better the results. I usually mix 75% regular milk with about 25% half and half and it comes out nice.

Yeah basically skim provides bigger foam particulates that don't last as long and doesn't travel across the tongue as nicely as whole milk. Ultra heated milk froths better and finer than whole milk and the foam lasts longer, and brings a silkiness that whole milk plus heavy cream simply can't muster. Ultra heated milk works well only on dark roasts. It doesn't taste as nice with lighter roast coffee, and can often cause a milky wash-over taste similar to using too much regular milk or cream in coffee.

Been working with different milk types and formulas to try and get better froths and foam.

Coffee and milk in the morning will activate bowel movements

What do you get when you wake up on and realize you ran out of coffee? - A depresso. :D
/Joke

I always have enough of various beans at home.
A desired cappuccino is being served up any minute now :)

Every once in a while I crave something different and the for some reason I like the Japanese Nescafé Gold from Japan. Not too cheap but not bad either. Three ways to have it: You can have it straight, with 1-2 teaspoons of this special condensed milk from Taiwan or with 1-2 condensed milk from Taiwan with foamed milk on top of it as well. All are pretty good. In the morning the Japanese made Zojirushi with good Alkaline water inside is always at the right temperature for making coffee.

I doubt you will find many takers for instant coffee on a thread dedicated to coffee lovers.

Most of us would not regard it as fit or worthy to be dignified with the noun 'coffee'.

Personally, I would always drink mineral water rather than instant coffee, but maybe, that is just me.

Now, the Zojirushi rice maker does look interesting. I read that this brand is very highly regarded.

Which model is it, and do you recommend it?

I am not a big fan of instant coffee but the Japanese ones are good exceptions I reckon. I do pour overs using the Zojirushi I have more often with good coffee but once in a while I crave the Japanese instant ones too.

I have both the Zojirushi rice maker and the Zojirushi water boiler. Both are highly recommended. I have the models made in Japan. Using good water keeps the inside parts good for years.

Below are the models I have and use. I must be honest with you though the Zojirushi in my opinion does not make the best Porridge but it depends on how you like your Porridge. It does though make it easy to perfect after. Tell you how if you want to know.

I put the images in Thumbnails for ya but it seems like sometimes it works and other times it does not.

Thumbnails are good, and thank you for them: Which actual model of the Zojirushi rice maker is that?

Chamomile tea. Nap and probably off to the shops to buy some bulk chocolates for home baked goodies. I am not risking life and limb once Easter rolls around like last year.

How picky are coffee lovers/fans here? Do you just water from the sink, filtered water, regular bottled water or Alkaline water? I normally use Alkaline water but if I am out then use regular bottled water. I did find that good bottled Alkaline water does help with some of the bitterness that some coffees have.

I used regular water now. Had a period where I filtered the water, but I didn't notice any difference.
Water is very good in Sweden.
Not ever any bitter coffee or espressos here. Not a chance :)
I buy only quality beans to my great quality machine.

Sipping on my delicious morning Cappuccino at 6pm here :p
