Received my dose of David Lynch coffee (3 packs), had two cups this morning.
Hope you enjoyed it.
Because I placed my order with the Ethiopian Coffee Company yesterday afternoon, they informed me that it will be despatched only this evening.
On account of the week-end, that means I cannot expect to receive it until early next week.
I did!
Ah, that really sucks. Hopefully you have enough coffee reserves to assure your survival...
Probably just about enough to see me over the week-end, if I ration myself to one - at most two - mugs of coffee a day; this is one of the reasons I phoned The Ethiopian Coffee Company yesterday to place an order.
In truth, once they explained that the order wouldn't go out until today (my fault entirely, I phoned too late to catch the Thursday delivery), that means - with the week-end - I doubt I shall receive it before Tuesday.
I'll send you some Folgers...![]()

Having some tea after lunch. Pick the kids up in a while and maybe go for a Cuban coffee after dinner. Provided I can whip up the sugar well enough.
There is nothing quite like a well made Cubano! So strong and sweet. Just my kind of coffee! Reminds me of good Middle Eastern coffee. How do you prepare a Cuban coffee?
I've had espresso prepared by an Italian friend where they whipped the sugar in advance and it was delicious.

Thanks for the link to the video; fascinating.
My Italian friend made her espresso with whipped sugar in almost the exact way, except that she beat the sugar mix in the espresso cups, rather than in the jug, and poured the espresso from the moka pot into the espresso cups.
The only think I would add to that - hailing, as I do, from northern Europe, where winters (and ofttimes summers, too) are cold and damp, is to heat the espresso cups in advance. Otherwise, one finds that one is sipping lukewarm espresso, rather than piping hot espresso.
Well, Cuban coffees hail from Cuba and the Miami area, predominately. Cold cups really aren't an issue down there. Cooling it off a bit from the pot is usually a bit of a good idea. They're usually ripping hot.
Friend of mine visited Colombia; he sent me coffee beans from a roaster in Bogota'. I made some coffee today using the beans he sent me, pour over brew. One of the best coffees I ever had. As my current avatar would say, "This is - excuse me - a Damn Good Coffee."
Yes, I noticed that your current avatar (who is this - I don't recognise the individual?) is no longer the venerable Dr Kissinger.
But, back on topic, you recommend Colombian coffee?
Dr. Kissinger will be backMy current avatar is Dale Cooper, the main character from Twin Peaks. I think you'd really enjoy Season 1 and Season 2 (made in 1990)
If you ever reach Season 3 (2017) Episode 8 you'll see what is probably the best work of art that ever appeared on a screen
I'd say that Colombian is hit or miss. I had some Colombian coffee that tasted like charcoal, and other Colombian coffee that tasted amazing (Such as the one sent by my friend).
