Ordered some Ethiopian coffee.

I received my order this week from Crosby Coffee but am a little concerned about the roast date? Roasted on 11.11. Do you think this is a little “old”?

I think you are good if it's been sealed. I bought some exotic coffee for the bean worshiper here, and she let it alone for too long, and found that the bag has not fully sealed at the top, and it had gone funky. Couldn't return it because it had been so long too. Eventually I'd imagine it does go bad over time, but if the seal is broken...

I recently acquired a soymilk making machine, so have started drinking my lattes with that. As long as I add a little bit of sugar it tastes fine. Slightly unusual, but as lattes with soymilk is what I drank when living in Asia, I'm used to it.

While my father occasionally tried soya milk, my now preference is for full fat milk, and, in parts of the world where that is not available, I tend t drink my coffee black.

I liked the breakfasts I had in Taiwan that had lots of fresh warm soy milk to drink with it. And, although nothing to do with coffee, the green tea lattes made with soy milk that Starbucks does over there.

I like to alternate my flavours and while like you I usually have full fat milk, the soy milk option makes it seem like a different drink. So now I drink twice as many :)

But for English tea ... eurgh. I tried soy milk once. Never again.

Went to Whole Foods and found David Lynch Signature coffee!
Now I have more coffee, and my bank account is poorer.

My machine has been down for a couple of weeks. I finally got the part to fix it today, its a magnetic float that sits in the water tank and interacts with a relay switch inside the machine to tell it there is water in the tank and its safe to turn on.

Glad to learn that you'll be able to enjoy your coffee over the coming weeks.

new coffee arrived this afternoon.....some from Peru, some from Honduras and some Sumatra

I'd just made the last cup of coffee from my previous order, so the delivery was fortunate

Nice timing!

Enjoy your coffees.

Have you any particular preference among them?
I've been trying out various coffees from this seller and I've bought the Sumatra several times. It's very enjoyable. I haven't had either the Honduras or the Peru before.....but at the moment I'm having a cup of the Peru coffee and it's quite good.

Earlier this autumn, I tried coffee from Honduras for the first time and quite liked it; however, of your selection, the one that would interest me most is the Sumatran coffee, which I haven't had often, but fond different and very interesting.

As for Peruvian coffee, this is a treat that I have yet to sample or savour, so I cannot offer any thoughts or remarks on it.
