Where did you get your beans from?

A small local roaster, who deal directly with small, local producers in the country in question.

This model means that they never stock a large variety of coffees, instead concentrating on stocking what is seasonal.

The drawback of that is that you will have perhaps two or three coffees from one country (one of the other small businesses that I order my coffee from currently stocks five different coffees from Nicaragua, and almost nothing else), and nothing from anywhere else.

I had never encountered, or seen - let alone tasted, or tried - a coffee from Guatemala, and when two different coffees from that country (both from the Huehuetenango region, which seems to produce what is considered the best coffee from the country) became available around two weeks ago, I ordered both (along wth an Ethiopian coffee, which I know I like).

The notes from the roaster mention that they had purchased five sacks of coffee (out of a grand total of thirteen) produced by one of these (small, with the coffee beans grown at quite a high elevation) Guatemalan producers last year.

Now, while I love coffees from East Africa or the Horn of Africa, (Ethiopia and Kenya for preference, though coffees from Yemen - when one is fortunate enough to be able to lay hands on them - are also excellent), I am also partial to coffees from El Salvador (and indeed, Costa Rica), and so was intrigued by the idea of trying out a coffee from Guatemala, and I must say that they are are exceedingly good.

Had a good Ice Espresso in the heat - some late summer shower over us still 🙏✨

Decided to finally go subscription with TextExpander - omg what a relief!
I have tested and tried to survive with PhraseExpress since TE went subscription.
Finally I gave up, too much hassle, way too much.

Took 5 minutes to make TextExpander work on ALL devices!
The subscription isn't really that high, but I was very resistant to subscriptions then.
Oh, I still am!
But some like the iCloud space I never even questioned.
I admit I have missed TextExpander and the ease with it 😌😏😁

I delivered this special package today to myself. Long trip but worth it. First batch was marvelous.

Enjoyed an Ethiopian coffee this afternoon, and mulled over ordering more coffee.

Thus, I spent some time perusing several of my favourite coffee sites.

In this context, a number of variables arise; the service, reliability (and quality and variety of the coffee) offered by each business.

And, also, while I am more than guilty of simply placing orders for coffees I know and love (the coffees of East Africa especially come to mind, Ethiopia, Kenya), I also know that it is very good (psychologically, physically, personally, professionally) to bestir oneself and venture beyond one's comfort zone - and, in the context of coffee, that means sampling, savouring and sipping coffees from countries and regions that one may not have encountered before.

If you are interested in delicious Hawaiian coffee, I would suggest: www.islandxhawaii.com. I have personally visited the store many times over the years (most recently a three weeks ago) and have tried many of the offerings there. I have not been disappointed. The Kona and K'ua coffee is Big Island. Waialua coffee is right there in O'ahu (cannot get more fresh). All are good. If you want to splurge, give the Peaberry a whirl. I also know of place in Kona that mails coffee as well -- but I cannot think of the name at the moment -- but they only sell the Kona coffee.

NOTE: I have never ordered online from there (might do so eventually) -- I have just stocked up during various visits.

Thanks very much for the suggestions in your post, very kind and thoughtful of you to take the time and trouble to post them; however, I am in Europe (British Isles to be exact), so, ordering coffee from (this business enterprise in) Hawaii does not seem to be possible.

Still working my Kona coffee special delivery. It's great that each brew never fails to satisfy. For those wondering, Kona coffee is usually a medium body coffee that is light tasting on the palate with a sweet fruitiness. It's a vibrant coffee with mild acidity. I have coffee from other Hawaiian locations on deck and will report when enjoyed.

Enjoying a Colombian Arabica Ice Espresso
Also looking forward to all disappointments Apple will give me tomorrow 😁
Nah, don’t expect anything of what I want or need to come tomorrow anyway.
Nothing Mac’s, just phones and stuff tomorrow I assume.

But really enjoying some prolonged summer heat.
Autumn and rain, rain, rain will come soon enough.

I…just…..couldn’t help myself.😁

Pumpkin cold coffee brew lightly creamed. Bliss on every level. The company ‘Stok’ puts out a quality product that is properly dosed with natural ingredients that don’t override each other. I’ve tried a few of their other flavors. Highly recommend.

Enjoy it! My life has been filled with take-away coffee, albeit some of it good, but rarely except the weekends have had the chance to sit down and enjoy a decent cup either at home or a nice coffee-shop.

Well, at the week-end, my moka pot sometimes comes out to play, - and that does take time, especially if I also prepare hot milk - but, during the week, I usualy prepare my coffee using either the drip/filter method (filter paper and Hario drip), or, if I want a few cups of coffee, - or, in the days when I hosted people - with my (Le Creuset) French Press.

Found a very tasty coffee drink today.
I often mix Espresso with Chaga, it improves the taste and the health quality in a pleasant way.
Also often with Coconutmilk or MCT powder instead of milk as I minimize my milk products.
Not a purist in any way, but ~ 80% vegan and 20% vegetarian.
Also try out variations of flavored stevia drops instead of pure stevia at times.
Hazelnut was a real hit - yum 😋
