Found out another monastery that roasts what appears to be excellent coffee. It shall be mine after I come back from my European voyage. Of course, I’ll review it for all of you, caffeinated friends.
Another monastery?

One that also roasts excellent coffee?

Joy.

It seems that monasteries also brew some of the very best beer on the planet...those legendary Trappist beers.

And, if there is truth (as I believe there is) in my copy of the superb book "The Story of Wine" by the wonderful Hugh Johnson, it would appear that monks may also have invented champagne.

While making this morning's coffee I noticed that the package of Wush Wush from Ethiopia appeared to be heading towards empty at an alarming rate.......fortunately further investigation revealed that it was just the result of a wider package than my other supplies and that there's still a reasonable amount left

An unnerving discovery.

Fortunately, you appear to be more than amply supplied, for now.

Had some summer flu, that could also be, at least partly, too intensely meditation caused, so passed the espresso some days and been on 'wheatgrass diet'.

So the XXL Espresso I am so immensely enjoying today taste like totally Espresso heaven 🙏🏼✨

Enjoy your Espresso - forgive me for asking but what is a "wheatgrass diet"? I presume you have been drinking juice from wheat sprouts which I imagine are very nutritious.

There’s several ways of take in the wheatgrass and its strongly beneficial effects, and I've tried most of them over the years.

The best is of course growing the sprouts yourself and have a slow-juicer to enjoy the juice fresh.
I have one deep down in my cellar somewhere, but it takes a lot of time to grow etc...
It doesn't work with ordinary juicers for carrots, apples etc. either. I have another of them too.
So one for apples, carrots, oranges and another for wheatgrass and/or other grasses.

Today the easiest and less expensive, and still very and strongly nutritional, way is to buy powder to mix with water and drink. Voilà.

Portafilter came off the group head as pressure was building up.
Hot, wet coffee grounds distributed randomly around, on, and especially in the crevices of, the coffee machine.
Bad words were said.
Substantial cleanup effort was made.
