Co-Worker (an inspiring officiando of a com-regulo espresso machine) was recently gifted 1lb of a regional roast . . .

. . . ground "fine" by the gift-er, and sublimely packaged.

We went to round-a-round as-to grind, and suitability to [his] 'espresso' device.

In all my time, I have never spent so much time debating the profit of whether one 'grind' may be better than another.

I was just like "You have a pounds-worth of experimentation ahead of you..."!

Just brew sum fsck'r, and report-back (was all my mind would say) :)

Having one my large Espresso's and exploring new playlists on YouTube to play up on my new HomePod's, and found one that fitted this thread; Coffee Shop Indie. Not bad this far.

Starting my day here in the Southern Hemisphere with a large Latte with A2 milk and finishing off my Matakana Village Roast beans.
A trip to the shops will be required later today to find some beans...now what do I want, to take me through the weekend?

Which leads me to a question: How long does a 200g bag of beans normally last you?
I have a teenager that has just finished a Barista course, so he's doubled the coffee intake in the house, so we go through a bag every 3-4 days.

A rough estimate suggests that a 200g bag would last me around 9 days. When there are visitors, or if there are zoom meetings to get thru, then it disappears faster of course.

Having a delicious Multi Espresso 😋

While I am also enjoying how the HomePods multi-play in various rooms at the same time.

Wish it was an espresso mug that could do that in a magical way.
So I didn’t had to bring the cup with me between rooms, but could pick up the drinking in another room without bringing the cup, and never had to drop out any valuable drops, or the whole cup for that matter, while 'running' between rooms.
Just keeping the 'Air-cups' in various rooms.

I'm having an extremely needed morning biggy Espresso at 3 PM after a refreshing meditation.
Before I have to go for some shopping.

Some days espresso is just delight and pleasure.
Other days it have a more profound meaning for existence - just saying 🙏🏼☕️

You can't be so vague about a coffee being from Ethiopia when Scepticalscribe is around!
Guilty, m'lud.

Unfortunately, that is all too true.

While I quite like coffees from several other countries (coffees from El Salvador, especially, come to mind), coffees from Ethiopia......are somehow, just right.

And, thus, the details, perhaps inexplicably, do fascinate me.

from a farm in the Sidama region, local heirloom varieties of Arabica, "natural" processed.

The roaster's tasting notes; "Fruit Focused, Cocoa in Cup, Richly Sweet"

It's very very enjoyable coffee.

(i'm always interested in the details too)
A "natural" Ethiopian from Sidama?

Wonderful. It sounds delicious.

How fortunate you are and how happy you must be.

I'm almost envious reading those tasting notes, and am reminding myself that it is well past time for me for purchase more Ethiopian coffee.

Do enjoy.
