I don't know what the range/pricing is like where you are, but here in Switzerland the DeLonghi range (they're mostly the same, just with more buttons or lights/displays) is good value for an automatic.

As an example (for approx. $300):

De'Longhi are in my sight as well.

I have a tab group in Safari, especially dedicated to this investigation. The search is taking place foremost on my Mac Studio where there's no limits breaking this investigation and all searches.
When I've reached a verdict I will tell you later guys 😁

An Ethiopian coffee from Sidama?

Wonderful.

Washed or natural process?

Local heirloom variety, natural process.....the roaster's description suggests a classic Ethiopian profile. (This is the roaster I like to buy Ethiopian from, so of course I have unreasonable expectations)

It's supposed to arrive Thursday so hopefully I'll have more details soon

Sounds absolutely wonderful.

And sounds (exactly) like my kind of coffee.

I look forward to reading your tasting notes when it arrives.

Time (high time) for another coffee.

I am coming to the end of my coffee from El Salvador, hence, (although I still have some coffee from Ethiopia), it is also high time to start perusing coffee sites.

Sitting with - and sipping from - a mug of piping hot coffee (almost the last of the coffee from El Salvador, natural process), with some organic hot milk, and a dash of organic double cream.

Finishing my package of Maui grown coffee today. Sad to see it go. Looking forward to O'ahu grown coffee tomorrow. My cupboard remains half-full from my summer travels so I have a few months to go (I hope).

Well, I have one packet of Ethiopian coffee remaining, as I finished my coffee from El Salvador this morning.

Time to set about ordering more coffee, which means perusing a few coffee sites and - perhaps - paying a visit to some small independent coffee shops to see what they have in stock (coffee that has been recently roasted).

One of the small, independent, local, coffee shops that I sometimes frequent, as I discovered (to my dismay) this afternoon, has chosen to close an hour earlier during "the winter", which meant that they were locking up when I arrived, and thus, I was unable to buy either a cup of coffee, (which had been my intention prior to heading off to pay some bills, and buy some beer), or browse their selection of unusual and interesting coffees before selecting a purchase.

Tomorrow, then.

Yes, agreed, exceedingly inconvenient.

I had just had a small, (excellent) local business prepare some forms in a pdf format (as I had to sign them before sending them off; a task that must be repeated tomorrow, - and tomorrow evening is the deadline by which they must be received - as I discovered upon my return home that I had forgotten to tick one microscopic box, which is now ticked (with a vengeance) before returning to have a fresh pdf file prepared and subsequently despatched), and had intended to sip, and savour, and enjoy a cup of good coffee before attending to the remainder of my errands.

They did say that their stock of coffee is very low, and that they are expecting two separate deliveries (of coffee) from small, independent, roasters in the coming fortnight.

Tant pis.

Today, I'm sipping the last mug of some Ka'u grown coffee.
And I finished my coffee from El Salvador today.

Today sounds as though it must have been a collective "finishing coffee" day.

I feel like a espresso bean...in the grinder 😉

I had found 2 Sage Espresso half-automatic machine's tonight that I liked, and was thinking about to hit the buy button. But I realized I hadn't taken the hight into consideration, and it was too high for the place where I need to have my machine. There's a lot of good brands that do great espresso machines, but they are too high - The De'Longhi I've looked at are as well.

Siemens fully automatic machines are more compact and smaller. Especially when it comes to keep the bean storage more inbuilt in the machine and not so high above that most other brands have. So I might end up with another Siemens anyway.
I'm gonna go another round in my search though.

Enjoying some fairly good coffee while I'm longing for a strong espresso.

Good luck with your research and with your buying.

I've been looking at both these - probably have decided which I will buy.
But wan't to hear your reflections, if you have any? - before I hit the buy button.

Longing for good Espresso too 😉
