Update to 6.1 via itunes.
Complete a back up via iTunes

I don't care for the weather app and my phone reboots properly without taking too much time. Should I update to this packages? I'm seeing a lot of people with problems and since I don't have any of those in the beginning, should I do it?

Of coarse. Theres no reason not to.
If you mean the Evasi0n packages.
 
Hello everyone. I'm very new to the whole JB thing. The fact is I've never considered doing it, until recently. Because I'm trying to learn as much as I can about it, would someone be able to tell me if there are links to some threads on this site, that can help me be come more familiar with it?

That seemed to have worked, thank you. Hopefully it gets fixed, I enjoyed that tweak.

@planetbeing: If you still have trouble with Weather, it's bcus you've had AppSync or another bad tweak installed at SOME POINT: restore and rejb w/1.1

If you think different, send him your logs, no one has yet that does not have it installed.

Again thanks for this, i was successfully able to jailbreak my phone.
 
Sorry if this has been posted:

Siri stopped working for me after the 1.1 JB. I fixed it by going into settings/general/Siri, and toggling on/off and rechoosing the language to English. Not sure if both are needed, but Siri is working fine again now.

I had problems with the weather app crashing and the phone would just freeze sometimes and wouldn't respond to the home/unlock button.
Tried the new version of the jailbreak (1.1) and the weather app worked at frist but after restoring my cydia tweaks+sources and restoring my files (it didn't restore my apps though, i thought it did =/ ), i still have at least the weather app crashing problem.
I tried that fix using the terminal and that code but didn't work.
 
Is anyone having issues with searching for hidden apps in spotlight? I have hidden SBSettings and Activator using SBSettings, but now I can't search for them in spotlight.
 
Im having the same issue again after jailbreak with the new version. After being locked/iddle for a while, the iphone stops responding to the home/unlock key press. If i press it continuously the screen will blink but then goes back to black.
Any idea of what could be? Now im thinking its a tweak i installed, but i didn't install anything special. Maybe its dashboard X or winterboard?

I have winter board and am not having this issue.

Usual process is to remove your most recent tweaks one by one until the issue resolves.

and indeed, the upgrade on Cydia fixed the problem.
 
Hi,

I jailbroke the day evasi0n came out but then went back to stock due to Weather app and the reboot issues.

Have they been truly fixed, especially the long reboot bug?

Great. Yeah, that's the first app I loaded back on after the 6.1 JB.

Damn near nothing I use works on the iPad yet...

I think the problem is solved now. I removed the glasklart theme from the winterboard and so far, so good. The weather app still doesnt work though, i only use the widget now
