There is no unoffical unlock for the iPhone 5, but if you google unlock_fusion he will help you unlock for a nominal fee

After the update, is anyone having trouble syncing? I might have had this issue before the update too, but as of right now my Weather app and Siri are working fine, but syncing my phone to my iTunes now gives me this error:

The iPhone "blahblah" cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional 1,573,563,588.56 GB required).

Doing the math, that's over 1 and a half exabytes. What?!

So I booted into an apple logo loop . I held volume + and sleep/wake to boot into safe mode to no avail. Then I tried a soft reset and I get a message on itunes that says i've entered recovery mode. Ugh!

The last thing I installed was an iWidget...

I was one of the paranoid users before jailbreaking, and I caved and did it last night. To my surprise, everything has been stable, fast, and clean. Here was my process for a clean install:

1. Backup to both itunes and icloud (I also had SHSH blobs saved previously)

2. Restored iphone (wipe all settings and content)
3. Activate phone (you must do this to JB. Evasion will prompt you before allowing you to proceed)
4. Exited itunes and all other apps
5. Plugged iphone in to USB, and open Evasion
6. Launch Evasion

**In the middle of the Jailbreak, Evasion will ask you to tap on the icon it puts on your homescreen once before proceeding. For me, it was located on another page, so I had to swipe to get to it. Click ONLY once according to instructions.

***Evasion launched a popup dialogue to enter my iMessages password. I pressed cancel.

7. Evasion will run, restart/spring several times, and will finish. Make sure it is completely finished
8. Clicked exit after I was certain it was done.

****I didn't do anything else while it was jailbreaking. Why not be safe and leave things be

I'm curious as to why Evasion would as for my iMessages info during the jailbreak. Anyone else?

I've always had bad experiences with jailbreak, but this time, it has the stability and performance of a stock iphone 5. I can't believe how well it works. No restarts, resprings (unless caused by a bad app), slowdowns, battery drain, or anything else.

Glad we both had a buttery smooth experience..

;)

Well, spoke too soon! Just bricked it! lol. Probably not JB though, but Winterboard. Anyone have a good experience with that? I remember it caused me all sorts of problems on my 3GS, and everything on Evasion was fine until I used winterboard. As soon as I tried to uninstall it, boom: bootloop at the Apple logo.

Had to unjailbreak my phone. Mail got all screwy and wouldn't show the sender, title or content of any emails. Several apps would just crash on start-up, Spotify, HBO Nordic, and Facebook. Tweetbot constantly got "un-approved" so it couldn't access my account. Same thing happened with Science Illustrated Quiz Battle. Lastly hidden apps kept showing up along with blank icons for a lot of different things I don't know what were...

Anybody got any ideas as to why?

I had SBSettings, NCSettings, Chromizer, Browser Changer, Swipe Selection, and Exchange Unlock installed.

I already installed AppSync but it's not working.

Smooth Sailing here.

Ran the jailbreak last night. Everything went great the first time and I was able to install most of my tweaks/apps that I had previously on my iP4.

For the record I have an AT&T iP5 and as of now the only things I have installed are:

-Auxo
-Five Icon Dock
-FakeClockUp
-SBSettings
-BiteSMS
-Activator
-AptBackUp

So far everything is running smoothly with no glitches.

One tip for those who are still struggling with Cydia...If you have multiple updates in your queue, try upgrading them one at a time. I had three at one point this morning and when I tried to run all of them it failed every time. However if I did them one at a time they went right through.

I already installed AppSync but it's not working.

Start by rebooting your iphone and if that does not resolve then uninstall your latest tweak.

Process of elimination.

I think that if you follow the steps you're supposed to follow the JB has no issues at all. Did it on 3 devices the same way and all ended up fine.

1. Backup if you want. (I didn't want, I just download everything again and that's it. I just backed up my media directly from iPhoto).
2. Restore to 6.1 from iTunes.
3. Set up the iPhone (icloud passwords, imessage's and all that). Not install anything yet.
4. Launch evasi0n and run the jailbreak. Follow steps.
5. When done, unplug the phone and start downloading all your legit apps from the Apple store.
6. Then just google if certain Cydia tweak is working properly for both -your device- and iOS6, download and install.

I've had no problems whatsoever.

Is anyone with AT&T having issues with the handshake between WIFI and LTE?

LTE not working, have to turn of LTE and turn it back to to establish connectivity.

Twitter App conflict

I did just discover one bug/issue on my phone. After jailbreaking last night and installing the apps/tweaks I listed in my previous post upthread, my Twitter app ceased working. Nothing would load on any of the various tabs.

The remedy was simple...just deleted and reinstalled the app. Not sure what broke it to begin with (the JB itself or one of my apps), but if anyone else runs into this, reinstalling it and logging back into my accounts fixed it.

No problems with mine, at least not when manually toggling wifi on/off. Will report back though after I venture out of the house this afternoon and the switch happens in the background.

Anybody having this bug? Sometimes, and what seems at random, the screen turns black when I push the home button to get out of an app. The screen isn't off but it goes completely black. I'm forced to push the sleep/wake button, then home again to bring the screen back on.

I only have 3 tweaks installed so far:
Zeppelin
Auxo
Zephyr

Can't figure out the cause. Thanks for any help!

EDIT: If I play with the volume rocker, some of the UI elements still appear as below. But still takes a push of the power button to bring everything back. Am I the only one with this problem?

EDIT2: Figured out that the problem is with Zephyr.

What do you mean by stolen apps? Paid apps on App Store that can be downloaded for free on cydia? If yes, I'm not stealing then. :)

If you are downloading apps that should be paid for and you are not paying for them then you are stealing them. That is not what Jailbreaking is for.

+1 That's the only way I jailbreak, and its worked every time with no issues.

Getting constant crashes in Chrome and Find Friends. Tried killing the apps and rebooting, no luck. Tried on iPad 3 and iPhone 5, both apps just crash as soon as I open them ever since jailbreak.

Got several problems with Chrome as well. On an iPhone 5 with Nitrous installed - and on one without.

Sadly, some random resprings are happening here as well. Crashlog showing low memory warnings before that. It was a perfect clean install and I only got some popular tweaks running with nothin' messed up.

And from what I observe ppl with problems almost always have Auxo & Zephyr installed.
