Im still new to everything but im going to sprint today to cancel my line for 350. some how i can still txt right now even tho i jailbroke the phone? but i was wondering now that its jailbroken does that mean i can go to simple mobile or another cheap carrier and sign up? that was my intention if anyone has a better idea please help me out thank youand im a student looking to major in computer science so u guys are all a bunch of help thank u
I was one of the paranoid users before jailbreaking, and I caved and did it last night. To my surprise, everything has been stable, fast, and clean. Here was my process for a clean install:
1. Backup to both itunes and icloud (I also had SHSH blobs saved previously)
2. Restored iphone (wipe all settings and content)
3. Activate phone (you must do this to JB. Evasion will prompt you before allowing you to proceed)
4. Exited itunes and all other apps
5. Plugged iphone in to USB, and open Evasion
6. Launch Evasion
**In the middle of the Jailbreak, Evasion will ask you to tap on the icon it puts on your homescreen once before proceeding. For me, it was located on another page, so I had to swipe to get to it. Click ONLY once according to instructions.
***Evasion launched a popup dialogue to enter my iMessages password. I pressed cancel.
7. Evasion will run, restart/spring several times, and will finish. Make sure it is completely finished
8. Clicked exit after I was certain it was done.
****I didn't do anything else while it was jailbreaking. Why not be safe and leave things be
I'm curious as to why Evasion would as for my iMessages info during the jailbreak. Anyone else?
I've always had bad experiences with jailbreak, but this time, it has the stability and performance of a stock iphone 5. I can't believe how well it works. No restarts, resprings (unless caused by a bad app), slowdowns, battery drain, or anything else.
Need Help! It's my first time to jailbreak my phone. I can't sync my iPhone on iTunes since jailbreaking it.
Here is the screenshot:

I already installed AppSync but it's not working.

So you can't sync your stolen apps?
Try not stealing.
Is anyone with AT&T having issues with the handshake between WIFI and LTE?
LTE not working, have to turn of LTE and turn it back to to establish connectivity.
What do you mean by stolen apps? Paid apps on App Store that can be downloaded for free on cydia? If yes, I'm not stealing then.![]()
I think that if you follow the steps you're supposed to follow the JB has no issues at all. Did it on 3 devices the same way and all ended up fine.
1. Backup if you want. (I didn't want, I just download everything again and that's it. I just backed up my media directly from iPhoto).
2. Restore to 6.1 from iTunes.
3. Set up the iPhone (icloud passwords, imessage's and all that). Not install anything yet.
4. Launch evasi0n and run the jailbreak. Follow steps.
5. When done, unplug the phone and start downloading all your legit apps from the Apple store.
6. Then just google if certain Cydia tweak is working properly for both -your device- and iOS6, download and install.
I've had no problems whatsoever.
