The new(-ish) Gold is really a lot closer to Silver than to the old Gold.
If the rumours pan out, S7 will be the last GSS, at least for a while; hence a great addition to an already impressive collection. 👍
Selfishly the “big news” I will be after come September Nth.
And I’ll have old gold to really wear the hell out of my now pretty pointless rose/bronze gold hardware bands until GM because while you can now unbrick a watch yourself, you can’t roll back the software.
Yeah I really liked the Gold Stainless Steel with the Series 4, but it was forever out of stock so I bought the Space Black Stainless Steel because I really needed to replace my Series 0 Stainless at the time.
Looking like I will be rocking said S4SBSS for another year with what I have seen so far from the S8 in terms of rumors.

Main drawback I have now is the flakiness of "Raise to Wake" and that the watch is four years old.
On the flip side, my battery life is still at 86%, I love the look the SB SS and performance has not improved as much as one might expect across four generations since the SIPs have only advanced two generations (S4-S5 and S6-S8).
I can’t wait for the collective confusion when everyone gets 4% back in September when they update. Maybe Apple will give some insight haha

Hi! Can I ask which color is the watch face? I'm wondering if this band will look nice with my watch
I picked Rose Gold it's what got closest to the watch color, at least in my eyes.
YMMV - there's nothing like experimenting.
I’m planning to make a chart of all the Nike face colors as they appear in the Watch app, alongside the best way to approximate them with the normal colors
Gold and blue is always a great combo!! And the bronze gold of series 4 is amazing!
The only thing holding me back is that there isn’t one definitive order. One is chronological (I think) and the other is 🤷🏻♂️
