Hey Apple Watch Band freaks, have I got a post for MacRumors.

This one is for all those band lovers out there who can’t stand any imitations. Not a single unoriginal band in this collection.

It will take me a while to sort them all, I’m finally going to sort by color and preference.
Stay tuned for the end result of them all being organized!
Hahaha. This is like doing an "eye" trick-or treat. I want to reach in and grab three! :);)😁

Succulent is like cactus in that it avoids kinship with either its green neighbors or blue. It looks blue next to Beryl and more green next to Seafoam. A good rule of thumb for comparison is that it’s more mist-y and dull than whatever you have from old seasons.

Wow. You peaked my interest in this one. I like the description "misty". I'm a big fan of "misty" bands.
Please do some comparison pics with Beryl and Seafood. I really want to see this color for what it is.

Me too, especially as I happened to be wearing it today on my non-Nike watch. 😄

It does now seem clear that NEW only means it wasn’t sold last season.

But also I don’t think they’ll ever keep a Red for more than one year. At least while they’re doing new Red hardware.

I am curious if Midnight and Starlight have been changed - considering they're also (I believe) labeled as 'NEW' on the Apple site.

Anyway, last comparison for tonight. Maybe ill retake these in direct full daylight tomorrow.

I yoinked someone’s bundled Elderberry—cannot wait! Amazon order was saying Oct 1

If they don’t have new SKUs they’re not new…I just go by Bandbreite. Midnight is new in form, it’s never been a solo loop before. And the solo loop prob isn’t as deep as the sport band.

A newly updated "Bandbreite", your favourite app for your ever-growing watch band collection, is now available on the App Store. | https://apple.co/3cEElZg

We made the app you love even lovelier! * The app has been updated to support the all-new band types for Apple Watch Ultra, with adjustments on band details and band information. * With our new in-app notifications you will never miss new bands, new collections or any other important updates. * The popular recommendations from our widget are now additionally available within the app. * We're celebrating the new Apple Watch Ultra with new gorgeous app icons and stickers for messages. * We tweaked the design, improved the UI, and fixed some bugs to make the app and your experience even smoother—not only because we support ProMotion now.

There's also still a chart for that. Scroll through all bands Apple has offered since 2015 with the newly updated chart. The PDF is available to download at https://bandbreite.watch

Maybe it’s also a good idea to add a short legenda explaining the several symbols used in the chart at certain bands. For me personally not all symbols used are understandable. For instance the symbol used in the upper right corner at multiple Hermes bands. But of course… that also could me my shortage of IQ 😉.

Good point. I will add one with the next update. It is mostly about bands being available bundled with a watch only, always or just temporary.

In this picture 5 looks the darkest. Does it look like this to you IRL as well? If so, I‘ll have to find it …
3rd/2nd gen are the darkest ones. And they're almost identical except for the back where one does not have the PROD RED badge on it. Speaking of which, 6th gen has the badge back where as 5th did not.

Dark Cherry and Elderberry are so close... Seems like Dark Cherry is slightly lighter and dustier than Elderberry to my eye. Is that about right?

Same RE:Bandbreite. However we were discussing the Apple shenanigans and what would qualify as a 'new' band on the discord because of the Midnight/Starlight situation. At some point ill buy the 'new' midnight/starlight and compare them to the ones I have and see if they are different.

In the daylight they're very similar. Inside lighting, Elderberry really darkens up - but it could also be its brand new and has that soft/dusty feeling of a new band. Time will tell, but its definitely darker (I asked my spouse to confirm :D )

I think it's worth noting that in the US all of the sport band colors, whether actually new or not, have new SKUs due to the introduction of separate S/M and M/L boxes for the sport bands.

@choreographics can you enlighten us as to how you determine when colors are new?

Perhaps the SKUs stayed the same elsewhere outside the US

A new SKU has not always been the clue in the past when it comes to this. It’s just a hint.

BTW: I have the chance to get a Hermes Series 6 44mm in Space Black with all boxes included except the leather band that was included (the SB is included and never worn). Priced at €350. Is that a yoink?
