Got another blue band (Abyss) to add to the collection, by way of being bundled with the magnificent SS Graphite (S7 refurb). Thanks to @JBlass421 for convincing me this was the one to get! 😄

Really shows that, even though Elderberry is slightly bluer than Dark Cherry, it’s still a reddish purple.

Kind of hard to tell from the dark lighting but I’m going to guess…
1. Blue Gen 2
2. Surf Blue
3. Capri Blue
4. Blue Horizon
Out of context Red3 BSL does look identical to Red2BSL but it is a tad less pink and a tad less strong.
What it really has me excited for is red6 sport band. Red5 was much darker than its sibling Red2BSL. I think Red6 is gonna dethrone Red1 as my favorite red rubber band. So bright and vibrant in the pic upthread.

BSL looks great and does look different. Been wearing S6 red all day and it’s great. G1 will always have a place in my heart but G6 is phenomenal. It’s bright in a way i LOVE

If I don’t yoink by midweek I’ll be shocked. Funny you can’t buy red Nike with RA even thought they’re marketed together. No margin left for the dodgy charity to get a cut on BC/GR.
Back from the Apple Store where I tried on a few different bands.
My headline would be is that the Ink Leather Link is a clear winner this season, it is incredibly nice to look at, its very smart looking. Also is it just me, but easier to see in person rather than in my pictures, but did they change the texturing of the leather links, looks a lot smoother, pills seem to blend more.
Anyways, here it is paired up for display purposes with a Graphite S8 - pretty slick looking combo
I then went on to try it on my Titanium S6 - please excuse it looking a little baggy, it was the large size, I’m normally the smaller size for leather link. Ink is definitely a great colour - I was unsure about getting it because I already have the Baltic Blue Link, but as this one is a lot darker and richer, indigo-like, I’m sold.
The Sunglow Solo Loop makes me regret buying Lemon Zest earlier this year, as its far closer to the beloved Pollen that released in summer 2017 - but otherwise, this ones really good, should’ve been released as a summer colour this year
The Slate Blue Braided Loop is also a really nice one. Basically could pass as a Blue Fog Braided Loop - this is the first light Blue Braided Loop they’ve done (if you exclude English Lavenders drop of blue it emits in certain lighting)
(You can see my English Lavender sport band at the bottom right and can see the similar tones)
Its about time Apple did the Braided Loop in bright blue and I deffo plan to buy this.
Display Walls - the following bands are shown:
Midnight Solo Loop, Ink Modern Buckle, Ink Leather Link, Milanese Loop
Storm Blue Solo Loop, Azure Modern Buckle, Slate Blue Braided Loop, Slate Blue Sport Band.
Overall, in my opinion, the Fall 2022 seasonal release is much better than Spring 2022. We got some new Leather Links, and overall much greater variety of colours, and also, those new style of Sport Loops look really nice imo. There’s a lot here that catches my eye and my wallet sure will be busy over the next few months

It's tough this season.
For Solo Loops Midnight is a new color (as mentioned by @athousandbands), but Starlight isn't. The SKUs are the same, I just checked 45 mm Size 8, both MKY73.
I guess the challenge here are the sizes. Apple added 1 to 3 for 45mm, which is technically new even if the color was available before.
Similar confusion about Sport Bands because of the separation of S/M and M/L. But so far it was confirmed that both RED are new (the SKU has changed in Germany), although the Braided Solo Loop is as close as possible to the last one.
White Sport Band is confirmed to be the same as for 40/44mm, but with new labels for 41/45mm. So again, technically new, but same color.
Interesting thought experiment if they would ever bother with a second starlight like they did with stone.
Nice review. I feel the same about Sunglow. Makes me regret getting Lemon Zest which I never use. Lemon Zest is more chromium yellow, and Sunglow has that perfect lemon yellow mixed in with white.
Well, it is what it is. But overall, Apple always reserves better colors for Solo Loop, and it's a gamble for Sport Band.
Maybe someone can share a comparison shot between Red BSL 2nd and 3rd generation.
BTW: does anyone know if the AW S8 in Red aluminum is the same as the S7?
I will do a better, color edited shot when I have all the Red bands in hand but they’re very similar.
The red aluminum is definitely new but not as big a jump as from 1 to 2. They’re definitely running out of reds lol.
Color me shocked we’ve seen not hide nor hair of the “new” Olive Grey on here yet lol

I love the Sport Loops this season, the only thing I wish they would have given up on is the mismatch outlines on each side. I wish the outline of the bands matched each other. Other than that, I will probably pick up a couple of them.
The order is correct in the caption. Pink Sand 2 is more pink.
