Lighting is tough here, but I would favor Northern. Tomales has a purple undertone similar to Linen that isn’t present in your pic
I could also see this possibly as Northern. Here’s a side-by-side view of Northern on left and Tomales on right with flash.
Here are some comparison pics taken during a cafe stop on a bike ride today. Mine: Dark Cherry on 41mm SS Graphite. Hers: Elderberry on 41mm SS (bundled with her brand new series 8).
And her Elderberry matches the helmet quite nicely!

I dunno man, the elderberries are starting to taste like dark cherries to me.

Dark Cherry was one of the most popular accessory colours of the 13 Pro/S7 era, so doesn’t surprise me they recreated something almost identical for the next years products
I was at the Apple Store. I might consider the Milanese Loop in gold and overcome my fear of mixing metals. 
Succulent did not call my name. It was gray, a bit green a bit blue. I had to look for it on the display.

I tried both ways. Went with Apple’s because I didn’t wanna look at the smooth fabric on my side.

That is the band I chose for my S8 Gold SS and it looks pretty nice. I prefer Braided Solo Loops so at the moment have it paired with my Dark Cherry.

Depends on what you're doing. I think Apple recommends bottom-looping for everyday wear and top-looping for water sports. I just prefer the look of bottom-looped sport loops. top-looping looks weird.
I wonder how much their defaulting the Alpine to top is looks and how much is for security. Or maybe just a matter of where it makes sense for the G hook to rest.
