I haven’t purchased any new bands for about 2 years now as they’ve all been pretty meh, especially the sport loops but these new Nike one’s and Nike sport bands…….oooooo yes. Blue and orange in combination at last……take my money. Can see at least 3 or 4 finally being added to the collection.

Couldn't resist temptation. Ordered 12 of the Fall 2023 bands. Did not order any braided solo or magnetic link. I could not believe how many bands feature orange this season. I got all the bands featuring orange. Also got winter blue in sport loop & sport band. Mulberry sport band and light pink sport band. And the blue / green Nike sport loop and the platinum Nike sport band. That one reminds me of a pride band. The band that I was most anticipating was orange ocean band for the Apple Watch Ultra.

And yet zero bands with yellow, unless you count the terminator of Cypress SpLoo or some of the strands of the Starlight/Pink Nike SpLoo

My biggest dilemma with the new bands is which of the Nikes to order first, since I’ll end up getting most if not all:

Loops - Game Royal, I think, but the Sequoia is about equal (& the Bright Green is amazing in a different way, and yes I know I just listed most of them!). Also a close look at the photos suggests there’s an extra stitching pattern that’s new? I also love the little mini-Trail Loop tab.

Bands - Probably Blue Flame? Magic Crimson takes away my need to overpay for the old Magic Crim/Crim Bliss, so it’ll be soon too. Desert Stone is unlike much else too.

Pure Platinum/White is a band that already exists, but the new one adds so much with that rainbow confetti all over. It’s my favorite, and I already have Pure Platinum/White!

Yeah, 100%. I tried not to list every band, but every Nike sport band is amazing. I have Pure Platinum/Black but not /White, but agree that it’s totally different to the /White.

That one in particular reminded me a lot of some of Nike’s running shoes (Nike, for those less into running shoes than me, have been going very hard on recycled materials for a while now too):

@choreographics can you pull the part number for the current red sport band on the store, which doesn’t carry a NEW label? I can only get the url bar to show the Mulberry number. It looks like Apple hasn’t changed their red watch/sport band, but the Face Editor has new red options?

It seems to be MT313 and MT3X3. Both are new numbers to make it more confusing, similar to other "old" bands, which all have new MPNs while still being a known color. The last gen was still separated in S/M or M/L and both sizes outside the US, which might explain the change.

[Update] Might be because of a new, more compact packaging!

Bit of a long shot here…

Does anyone reading this have a silver aluminium watch and one of the ‘bright blue’ straps like surf blue or capri blue?

I want to order the new series 9 and have always had black/grey type watches, but for the first time I’m tempted by the silver. I mostly where bands like the surf/capri mentioned above and can’t picture what they’d look like with a silver case.

Would someone be kind enough to put one of these bands on their silver watch and then take a variety of pictures? As many as you like, front on, side etc. I’m hoping it would help me decide!

I also like the new Nike Sport Loops.

Does anybody know if the width of the bands (specifically sport loops) has changed over the past few releases (to somewhat match the new larger case sizes of watches)? Maybe incrementally like a mm or a few mm’s? Or are these in essence the same bands with a slightly wider connector?

The sport loops have remained the same width since they first launched in 2017.

I ordered 10 of the new bands (11 if you include the one that will be bundled with my S9).

It looks like the FineWoven bands are not available yet.
I just noticed that the new FineWoven Modern Buckles are available to order. The Magnetic Links are still not available.

Make that 12 bands ordered! Here is everything I ordered, all in 41mm:
  • Winter Blue Sport Loop (bundled with S9)
  • Cypress Sport Loop
  • Mulberry Sport Band
  • Winter Blue Solo Loop
  • Midnight Sky Nike Sport Band
  • Bright Green/Blue Nike Sport Loop
  • Black/Blue Nike Sport Loop
  • Game Royal/Orange Nike Sport Loop
  • Rouge H Kilim Single Tour
  • Navy Bridon Single Tour
  • Denim/Noir Toile H Single Tour
  • Mulberry Modern Buckle

Not aluminum, but close. No the band is not that tight, bending my wrist for some reason.

Ultra + Blue Capri

Thank you, really do appreciate that.

If anyone’s got any with the silver normal watch too that would be much much appreciated.

Doesn’t need to be surf or capri by the way, any bright / light blue will give me an idea.

Thanks, in looking at the photo versus the Bandbreite photo it looks pretty different. I guess we’ll wait for physical release!
