I think the sport loops will have different shape lugs
Nope, I guess only difference is the number welded onto the back.

Weird that the milanese loop and link bracelet designed for the new titanium Series 10 watches are still made out of stainless steel! I'm guessing that applies to the pin on the sport bands too

I am very interested to find out if the Gold Stainless Link matches my Gold Stainless Series 8 as I would prefer to have an Apple band (my third-party is quite close, but still...)

If that is the case, does that mean the silver one is the same as the prior, or was it redesigned like the loop?

There are videos of the titanium watches with the link bracelets and the design and clasp is unchanged from the "launch" version back with the Series 0.

I think titanium is softer right? And I don’t think they’d be worried about weight with a metal band.

Titanium in general is as strong as stainless steel, just lighter. So there should not be a difference between a stainless steel link band and titanium link band in terms of strength and durability. My guess is that Apple does not want to switch materials since they likely don't sell many stainless steel link bands and their production chain is already designed around using stainless steel and moving to titanium could require a different process. Notice how the titanium Milanese Link looks different than the Stainless Steel Milanese Link - this is likely due to different manufacturing processes between steel and titanium resulting in different designs.

We'll know more once we get to see it in person (newest gold is way lighter than in renders imo) but it seems to sit right in the middle between S4/5 Gold Stainless and S6/7/8/9 Gold Stainless. If so, it'll match either one close enough for most people. I'm excited to get my hands on one and do some comparisons.

My best guess is it'll match similar to how my gold link bracelet (prototype Series 2 unreleased color) matches with the S6-9 gold but in the opposite direction. Mine is "Close enough, but too far on the yellow side" whereas I feel this one will be "Close enough, but too far on the rose side"

The real question is, if they planned to reopen link bracelet assembly lines, why wait until now to release matching links? We could've had Graphite and Gold this whole time!!

Anyone have concerns about the solo loops fitting differently with the 1mm larger case size in height?

Not sure if Apple was able to keep the band groove/slot in the same position or the bands will fit 1mm looser.

I don’t know the length difference of solo loops between sizes (maybe 1mm is no big deal). For me, one size down was uncomfortably snug. Size I’m at sometimes can’t pick up a heart rate during a workout. 1mm looser may mean i need to go down 1 size in solo loop. Haven’t seen it discussed here or in the watch forum.

The Verge kept calling it “rose gold titanium” and I wanted to scream.

I think like with the ultra it’s offset by the change in thickness?

Then s9->s10, 1mm larger and 1mm thinner means more than 1mm looser...
Doesn’t 1mm thinner mean the case is closer to your wrist? I’ve never put a solo loop on my ultra but I think this is what people who did said.

I think Apple has considered this, if only to dismiss that 1mm on a band that is over 100mm isn’t moving the needle.

The heart rate sensor not working with a solo loop sounds awful, can’t imagine it. Hopefully you get it squared away.

Apple had a picture (believe that’s where I saw it yesterday) that showed where the thickness was reduced from. It appears mostly above the band attachment. Basically the face of the watch moves down. Not the back of the watch shaving thickness off. I need to mirror the image and analyze but quick glance it looks very close.

Actually, looking further I think I answered my own question(s), I don't recall the old one having polished sides like the new ones.
