Get me some pics, people! :)

Just ordered the Nike Pride Edition sport band. I think it's going to pair nicely with my white ceramic!

The stripes on the Pride Edition sport band looks warped and I'm not sure whether that's really how it is or just a bad Photoshop job

Whoops I take it back - it's intentional. Apparently it's assembled by hand from individual strips of fluoroelastomer and then compression molded together. Really interesting way they are producing the Pride Edition sport band.

God I really don’t like the standard sport band there. Looks like one of the many printed silicone bands from Amazon/5 Below. It just looks cheap to me.

However that Nike one is DOPE. Ordered immediately. I think just a few pages back we were all talking about how cool it would be for different colored holes on a Nike band. WE GOT IT, I BOUGHT IT.

I have wanted a Nike Pride band forever. Not 100% sure if I will keep the striped one. Have to see it in person.

New 2020 Pride Edition Sport Band and Apple Watch Nike Pride Edition Sport Band! It's bizarre to see a rainbow-colored sport band

No matter how I look at it, the Pride Edition sport band is the most jarring and un-Apple like thing Apple has released. Looks like cheap third party watch band. The Nike Pride Edition sport band on the other hand is very tasteful
Is this for real?? At first glance I don’t care for the sport band but the Nike one is pretty.

Edit: ordered the Nike band, which is my first.

In the case of the striped, my concern is the same as yours. However, I’ve ordered it as well based on the safe assumption that Apple must have considered this, and have therefore done a very good job of making it look great in-person. I’m counting on the hero shots being a poor representation, as we have all seen time & time again.

I think they're telling us to expect "imperfections"/variability.

Wonder what the back on the Nike one looks like?

On a related note, wouldn’t it be nice to see a Nike band with perforations having that (rose?) red color (seen in the text on the backside) against the same white base? Very “COVID / for the heroes” look, I’d think.

EDIT: It would also (coincidentally) be a nice fit with the scheme of the Health app icon colors..

It‘s not printed. Per Apple’s description, it's assembled by hand from individual strips of fluoroelastomer and then compression molded together. Hence each one has unique “imperfections“.

Ya saw that, too. Being devils advocate: An interesting manufacturing process doesn’t guarantee a “win” though! Think of the butterfly keyboard ;)

Alas, as said above, I’ve ordered both with a forced sense of optimism for the stripes.

If you like the style is another question altogether. I personally don‘t (I think). But it is certainly unique and will absolutely be a million miles apart, quality-wise, from the cheap silicone crap on Amazon/Ebay etc.

OTOH I never had a problem with the butterfly keyboard either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

True enough with respect to the band.

As for the keyboard, you must be exceedingly careful. You would be singing a very different tune though as an Apple technician at a college, where just about every week is spent replacing at least one for a student / employee.

Waiting for them to do a lavender Nike band with the holes being a rainbow of colors.
Okay, they did white instead of lavender, but I called it on doing a Nike Pride Band with rainbow holes. I wasn’t sure they could pull it off, or that Nike would buy in, but, thanks Tim Apple, for taking my suggestion - I had no idea you read the MacRumors forums!

Huh. I find it bizarre as well, but also wonderful. I didn’t expect they had the tech to put together the stripes in a way that both worked and would meet their high standards and could be produced at high volume.

Ordered both. It’s a shame that the rainbow dots analog face will likely be available only to those who have the Nike watch. Take off then Nike swoosh, and give it a complication or two, and I’d use it a lot.

I’m also more than a little surprised that they did both this year. They could just as easily have done one of these this year and one next year.

I think the admins need to change the How many Apple Watch bands do you own? OEM only poll, to include 50, 75 and 100+..... More than 20 bands is too easy.

Two more side notes here:

Did anyone else notice the first green-green tones in these pride bands?

Is this the first time we’ve seen any proper “color” (ie. not grayscale shades) be shared between Apple and Nike? It appears to be the exact same colors used in each pride band here.
