Another odd thought, concerning their choice: these fluoroelastomer bands are arguably easier to sanitize than the other alternatives they could have chosen (sport loop, leather, woven nylon, etc.)

So what’ve we got left for next year? Pride Leather Loop? Pride Hermès?

I think it's just a nice coincidence that this year's Pride band is a sport band which can be easily sanitized. These products are usually determined months ahead of release (to allow for mass production, shipping, etc) and seeing that the Pride Edition sport band isn't exactly a simple paint job, I'm guessing some serious R&D time were involved too.

Of course, now that they’ve worked out splicing colors in Sport Bands, we may see a few other stripe combinations in the future, leading ultimately to a Bond Sports Band (google “bond nato strap” if this is unfamiliar).

(Though I’ve always been fond of “black with one thin red stripe down the middle” and “light blue with a wide orange stripe surrounded by thin black/white stripes”.)

Where's @emiaj?

I'm in the same boat as most of you guys, Nike looks really good, normal sport is meh.

I'm not sure they'll go that far. They tried many striped designs with the woven nylons, and those ended up getting discontinued, I can only assume from a lack of sales.

Now we just need Apple to 'accidentally' make one out of 6 strips of the purple...

edit: orange too, because woah is that a nice orange color.

Yeah hard to believe they just do this process once, especially as they run out of single shades to do. The abstract names sunshine and vitamin c seem to foretell this as well.

Black Nike Sport Band with multicolor holes would have been really nice too!

2021 Pride maybe.

Yes. Express shipping. Bands will be arrived tomorrow

I can tell someone’s excited. Whenever you guys get yours, I have a few questions-

What color are the lugs on the prides?

What do the boxes look like?

Is the laser etching still present on the sport band?

Do the bands say Pride 2020 anywhere on them?

What does Nike call the band on the side of the box?

TIA

Oooh, that just made me think, I would absolutely adore one that was done as graysCale - white on one edge, black on the other edge, then, what, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% gray across the middle.

Do another one that’s the same, but sepia toned.

Hell, do them for various colors. (Purple first, dammit.)
