I know the lines are not supposed to be perfect. But does anyone else's new pride band have this much bleed over?

I love it! But do you guys not like having watch faces to match all of your bands? How do you manage watch faces given the 36 max watch face limit?

When I first got my watch and I only had one band, I had lots of faces (including third party photo faces) saved that I used to pick from and I used to delete faces as needed to make room for new ones. Now that I have many more bands I don’t change my faces as much. I have about 5 favourites and a few others saved, and I just customize the colours as I need to.

How does everyone clean their "preowned" bands that did not come sealed in a box when they get them? I soak them in a bowl of alcohol for about 5 minutes and then I wash them with soap and water. I figure that should kill any bacteria from the previous owner.

10 min soak in warm soapy water, rinse with hot water, then lather with dish soap while wet, wash off under faucet, use a toothbrush for trouble areas. rinseonce more with warm water, and dry with a microfiber cloth.

Considering how many bands I have and how often I change them, I should change my watch faces. I have pretty much been using this one exclusively since my S0 watch. It is perfect. Easy to read and has everything I need on the screen. Maybe when I get my series 6 and it has always lit screen I will change my faces more often. I am currently wearing a S4

I just wash them with soap and water like I’m washing my hands. Then dry. Tada!

I thought Nike Spruce Fog was gray not green.
IIRC you're all about the loops when I'm all about the bands, but I still tend to agree. That's probably why I didn't include it in my original list. The holes are green though.
Khaki was tempting but every time I looked at the picture I couldn't bring myself to pay $50 for it. I'm hoping it hits eBay for less at some point. Lemon Cream I bought and then canceled as from the pictures it looks like a washed out lemonade and I'm not sure I need/want that given that I have lemonade. Clementine I'm not sure is different enough from nectarine for me to justify – though I do love my oranges, would love to see a picture of them together if anyone has both. Pine green and beryl I got open box off of eBay for less than the combined retail cost of one for the two. Pine green I'm still not sold on (really wanted more of a hunter green, I guess), but beryl is just simply delicious.
I have all the yellows bar Canary (on its way). To say Lemon Cream is a washed out Lemonade is like saying Turquoise is a washed out Surf Blue. There are 7 yellows and they have a definite graduation from Flash to Mellow Yellow. Lemon Cream and Mellow Yellow are the hardest to tell apart. Lemonade I'd describe as bright whereas LC is just as the name suggests - a cream with yellow tones
Just found out that the purple in the new pride sport band is actually not new either... the mystery of the pride band is solved:

Hibiscus - Papaya - Canary Yellow - Spearmint - Surf Blue - Hyper Grape

View attachment 917059
Boo, that significantly reduces the chance of a new purple to match. Like to zero is my guess. Aside Midnight Turquoise being a possible identical match with Dark Teal I don't think Apple and Nike bands have any crossover colours, do they?
On an unrelated note, anyone have Hibiscus, Papaya, and/or Canary in 42mm they’d like to sell?
I'm with @Fhotofaerie - I don't even have my Canary Yellow but you'd have to kill me to get your hands on it when it gets here :)
How do you guys manage watch faces? I was adding watch faces in all the colors of my bands for all the faces I like and I got an error message that I reached the max number of faces and can’t add any more.
I have a handful of faces I use (predominantly California and Infograph). I change the colour of the elements that can be changed (the hero shots of the multicolour Infograph look awful to me and I didn't use it for ages because it was so garish, then I realised it looks cool more subdued) to match my band manually when I switch (and sometimes the numerals style on Cali).
After installing iOS 13.5, remember to restart your watch for the rainbow colours to show up.
I didn't need to restart for them to appear, but it can't any harm

Not so much for a new open box purchase, but I've taken to giving the Watch and band I wore overnight into the shower with me and giving it a quick wash with the face wash I use. I thought it might be good for getting any skin oils from touching my face to the band off and it works really well. They come out with a nice sating finish like new whereas they sometimes can get a sheen from wearing them.

On that note, particularly my Obsidian and Hyper Grape Nikes feel quite stiff and have more shine than I'd like. Hyper Grape I bought used, but Obsidian I'm pretty sure was one I got new from Chargerstore. Anyone else notice a difference in the feel between colours and in particular those ones looking more shiny than others? I wonder if Nike's black fluoroelastomer was changed up for Pink Blast and Lime Blast as they feel different, then again my Volt band feel like those newer ones. Obsidian is one of my favourites, but the sheen it sometimes has makes me sad.

I agree that not all the bands wear and shine up the same.

Also got my Apple pride band and I concur with whoever up thread said it’s smoother/softer than the average new band.

Also: gonna go out on a limb and say it’s not surf blue. I’ve never seen royal but I’m guessing it’s royal. And the purple is every so slightly lighter than hyper grape, as would make sense because we’re getting that band this year, sheeple!

I'm personally not wearing it to support Pride specifically. I'm an ally but don't consider it something I would advertise. I just don't care either way. Live your lives and be happy everyone!

I just like cool looking bands when it comes down to it and like Rainbows. lol

I am the same. I consider myself an ally though that’s not the specific reason I bought it. I grew up playing softball, played in college, and play to this day, and there are a large percentage of lesbians in my sport. They’re all cool with me, as is any LGBT person...love who you want, there isn’t going to be a shortage of marriage licenses or any other thing like that.

What’s the address? I’ll come in with black choppers and missiles like that scene from Iron Man 3. (Worst one, by the way.)

From what I’ve heard internally, ever since the S4, the bands are using a new formula for the fluoroelastomer. Different colors require different pigments, which on top of the new formula, could play a role in how they wear.

Oooohnononono, I hope mine doesn’t do this. I’d get so distracted by that little thing, I’d have to return it.

Will check it against all my blues when it arrives. Also in agreement here- that’s Plum, coming Summer 2020.

Can someone help me confirm which Gen blue I have here? One of the only ones I’ve gotten without a box so it’s hard to validate I’ve always assumed Gen 1 but shopping for a Gen 2 I keep getting confused. Put it next to some others and Surf blue for comparison sake since it’s similar.

Experts weigh in!

Nice call out for you in the video!!

Yea good memory on me being an only Loop guy. I was actually thinking about the Spruce Fog Loop which to me looks just gray. I actually ordered one new in box, it should be here soon. I do see what you’re saying about the Nike Sport band the holes have an earthy greenish gray hue to them.

Nice call out for you in the video!!

Thanks! Also, pretty sure that’s first gen. Here’s a decent shot of both in indirect natural light. Second gen is the lighter of the two.

Our borders are closed. My Prime Minister will take your black choppers down with her massive choppers. :D Google Jacinda Ardern if you don’t get that...

I assume the different pigments make a difference for sure. Flash is my “wibbliest” band and some dark Nike’s the stiffest.

New faces installed! Ultra violet might be my favourite band right now.

I'm so jealous!

I saw people mentioning Papaya here, and that's one of my favs.

I was really on the fence about buying Papaya, but I loved it in person so I ended up buying it at the Apple store (attached). At the time I wasn't sure if I'd wear it enough to spend $50. It's my only orange and it's perfect to me.

Ultraviolet was another I was on the fence about buying, and I ended up not buying it. Of course now I regret it. Yours looks awesome! If there's ever a "different" color than what I have (I have a few different blues and greens), and I do want to get it, now I just budget to buy it, because it's such a hassle after the color isn't sold anymore.

I need papaya!

I need papaya!

It's a really nice color! I get a lot of compliments on it too. Well I did, when I used to see people, now I'm house bound LOL

I recently bought an iPad mini, and I liked papaya so much I bought a papaya smart cover for it. It should arrive tomorrow, maybe I'll post a pic of it with the band so you can really see the color (I know a smart cover isn't applicable to the thread but it might help someone make a decision about the color).
