I'm 16, 17 in July next year so half way through my year and purchased everything you see here myself, from my job + lots of hours + lots of saving :)

You guys are all so lucky!

Hopefully one day soon I'll be able to add my new :apple:MacBook Pro to this thread of sweet setups. It should be coming soon.

my digital camera is broken so:
24" Al iMac 2.8Ghz 4gb RAM 256mb VRAM 1tb Hard Drive
12" Powerbook G4 1.33 Ghz 512mb RAM 64mb VRAM 75gb Hard Drive
Extras:
-hp photosmart 7900 Printer
-LaCie d2 Extreme 300gb External Hard Drive
-Wireless Mighty Mouse
-Wired Al Keyboard
-30gb 5G iPod

The night before and the morning after...

So in other words you drink alone and wake up in an empty bed and your computer. ;)
I guess if I had drank while I was underage I too would wake up to an empty bed with a computer next to me.

I just set my screen saver on my mbp to my gf :p so if i fall alseep with my laptop it works.

p.s. if I am mad at her I just use Kim Kardashian ;)

All of it besides the Macbook was purchased used; all was worked for through various jobs. I bought the G5 and three g4's from a friend for $525.

Why was he willing to sell you around two grand of equipment for half a grand?

My brother, who owns his own graphics design/animation and audio business, known as Avatar Labs (did graphics animation for the Matrix and Harry Potter), is updating to Mac Pros and sold a couple of his G5's for around 1.5 grand on eBay. I call him telling him my friend and I are getting into music production, and my brother is willing to happily sell my friend a G5 for around $300.

Peace

my setup

I have a Mac Pro 2.66 GHz Quad-Core w/ two 250GB internal HDs & 5GB of ram.

For audio recording I have a Presonus Firepod, an Art Tube Pre, and DBX compressor on a rack beside my 19" monitor. On top of the tower I have a lacie backup drive.

I'm 17 :)
